His skin had thinned, and deep, dark shadows blossomed beneath his flesh, reminding me of how he'd appeared in his true form. His skin had been a kaleidoscope of midnight and moonlight, his wings much like a draken's but made of a solid mass of eather-power. He looked like he was about to go full Primal again. "Sotoria didn't belong to him then, and Seraphena doesn't belong to him now."

I’m literally speechless. This book…THIS BOOK. Okay, no spoilers but holy sh*t. This book was literally everything I wanted it to be and more. The connections to the current world! UGHHH. I love Sera and Ash with my entire heart. I cannot wait for December. Literally I’m dying and I will only revive when the next one comes out. RIP me.

Necesito leer URGENTEMENTE el tercer libro. No puedo creer que tengamos que esperar meses para poder leerlo. La espera se me hará eterna.

Como secuela, el libro cumple su cometido. Te engancha en una vorágine de emociones que te mantiene pegada página tras página sin poder parar de leer. Lo disfruté mucho. Y sí, tiene sus más y sus menos, pero no me importa, lo devoré como una adicta porque así de enganchada me tenía. Amé a cada uno de los personajes incluso más que el primer libro. 

La escena de cuando Sera viendo a Veses y a Ash, me hizo llorar como niña, sentí su dolor y decepción, para mí la mejor escena fue esa junto con otras más. Pese a que la autora evidentemente trata de que sus personajes femeninos de sus últimos libros sean diosas indestructible, creo que en esta ocasión Nyktos tiene su parte relevante, y me encanta como personaje. 

En fin, tengo tantas cosas que decir de esta secuela y tantas emociones encontradas, que simplemente diré que, la espera será dolorosa hasta poder leer el tercer libro.

This is a triology and so far nothing at all has happened LOL yet I still love it. It’s all worldbuilding and uber slow burn enemies to lovers so I’m digging that. I like Sera much more than I like Poppy, and Nyktos is babygirl. I’ve preordered the 5th book to FBA which comes out before the 3rd book of this series, but I might wait bc I know FBA spoils Sera’s ending and I’m more invested in this story than I am the other. Tl;dr The most important point is that this book is wildly spicy, but in a good way, not in a King of Battle and Blood way (seriously that book sucked)

In regards to this book - I think this is the best writing we’ve seen from JLA thus far. A tad repetitive, and tbh all the prophecy shit got confusing at parts BUT very good writing, and a great story line. The cliff hanger is actually going to physically pain me until the next Flesh and Fire book comes out

The first portion seemed slow, but I was weirdly hooked. Not a lot has to happen, just have Nyktos and I’m good, I guess 😮‍💨🔥 from 50% on, the plot flew by and I was highly entertained.

I really enjoyed the second part to Nyktos and Sera's story! I can safely say these two are higher up on my list of favourite couples than Poppy and Casteel now. I think I also prefer the Flesh and Fire Series to the FBAA.

There were quite a few twists I did not see coming and my heart was being torn from pillar to post but set us up for the next story which I CANNOT WAIT FOR!

Nykos has me in a choke hold! I loved this book so much. I don’t think I can wait a year for the next one to come out!!

I have no idea why but I love Nyktos and Sera more than I ever loved Poppy and Casteel. Don’t get me wrong I love them too but this and Shadow in the Ember are just so much better in my opinion. Again, the character names do my head in and the modern sayings which is what took this from a 4.5 star to a 3 but regardless this was still such a good read and I cannot WAIT for the next instalment (miss you already Nyktos 🥹)

This book reminded me why Jennifer L Armentrout is one of my favorite authors. Her storylines are so captivating that I devour her books in only a couple of days. The only thing I dislike is that I am always caught reading her books right after release, even though I know how legendary (and excruciating) her cliffhangers are. The wait might kill me 😂

This book is quite character driven and spends a lot of time developing the world more. I loved getting to spend time with Seraphena, and love the wit and humour between her and the members of the court. Also, big fan of our Jadis and Reaver moments 🥺

THIS BOOK IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!! INFINITE AMOUNT OF STARS!!!!!

This is by far Jennifer's best work! I don't know how she does it, but every book of hers is better than the prior one. "A light in the flame" is magnificent and I was not prepared for this. The plot twists, the prophecy twists, this entire book felt like a twist within a twist. We have action in every chapter [yes, all kinds of actions :))], passion on every page, character development, world development, and SUPERNATURAL DEVELOPMENT!!! Niktos just went all Primal of Death. What you've seen in ASITE is nothing compared with how much power he unleashed in ALITF. 

The sins of the past, the bearer of the consequences, the sacrifice for the ones you care about, the ones you love, the desperation they feel for losing the one they love [past and present]. This book blew my mind. 

The relationship between Niktos and the other Gods, the Draken, and the mortals, the trust and loyalty, the friendship, all these are beautifully written, in a manner that very few authors let the readers experience. You can actually feel this book, everything that Sara feels and, even if we don't have any chapter in Niktos POV, you can still feel how he feels through Sara. With the emotions and the passion behind every action, every word, and every fear, this whole book is simply magnificent. I literally devoured this book. 

We have more of Nektas, Jadis and Reaver. You see understanding and the power of knowledge. How the past can change a person and the mind, and how you can see from more perspectives than your own. The power of trust and free will to choose who you're guarding, and with whom your loyalty and friendship lie. And also giving a second chance, and be for that person, even if the others want her dead. I think Nektas is a very important pillar for Sara [if I can say so], not only in front of the others but also just for her, supporting her, encouraging her, and just being there for HER, not for what she represents. 

With ALITF, you can't say that only the ending was powerful. NO. THE WHOLE BOOK WAS POWERFUL! I'm not going to give any spoilers, JUST KNOW THAT THIS IS SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY! You laugh, you cry, and you want to stab someone :))), you want to hug the characters if they were in front of you, and you literally feel pain for the characters and not just the main ones, oh no, you feel everything for every character. 

MASTERPIECE!!!!

This series is so much better than FBAA. The first book was really good, but this one just keeps coming at you with all the turns in it. You never see anything coming! It's amazing!!

So we can add this one to the list of books that hurt me. This is becoming my favorite series. I still love From Blood And Ash but the Flesh And Fire series is fighting for number 1. A Light In The Flame was so beautifully written and I loved how Jennifer went through Seras mental health and how even I could relate to how she handled it. I found myself laughing, crying, and getting so angry with this book but I love it so much. Sera and Nyktos are so amazing together. The absolute betrayal I felt reading this book in a couple parts. I hurt for Sera every time she got hurt and I knew I couldn’t trust one person. Reaver and Jadis were adorable as usual and Nektas was just amazing. I can’t recommend this series or this author enough. 5 stars 10/10 would definitely recommend over and over.
