Read this book in high school and fell in love with the whole series. Usually a series of this length gets old and I lose interest by the third one. This one never got old for me. I have re-read as an adult and still found it just as good. About 20 years later I had discovered Roberson wrote a continuation. So I am currently on my 3rd re-read of the series so I may purchase the recent additions. So far, it has been like meeting up with an old friend and catching up. As I travel a lot for my job I listen to a lot of audiobooks and tend to be really picky about the narrations. I do not recommend this book as an audio only because the narrator sounds nothing like how I imagine Tiger sounding. There is only one audio out there that I have found. Perhaps if some day they re-record it with a different voice. Perhaps a little deeper and/or more raspy/gruff? I would love to see a film adaptation, but they would have to cast very carefully. Still, the book itself will always be a companion in my life.
