this was...ok

this book was not what i was expecting. it was pretty good. i didn’t love it but i also didn’t hate it. it was a quick read so that was nice. plus it was entertaining for the most part. however i wasn’t a big fan of lia… her choices were so badddddd. also i struggled with some of the topics that were mentioned in it, but overall it ended in a way that i am sorta okay with, much better than i thought it was going to.

i really liked this!! the perfect ya thriller to ring in spooky academia season!

4.5/5 ⭐️ I love murder mystery book so much. Stacey is such a good friend. I saw that plot twist coming but it still shocked me.

3.85⭐ Holy crap. This book was GOOD. Like i read her previous one the obsession and i kinda liked it but it mimicked YOU (by Caroline Kepnes) so much that it didn't feel original. But this one did. It's such an improvement from her previous work. It's like, if you like Karen's Mcnus book u r gonna love this one. Highschool drama, ansty troubled teens, murder/suicide, drugs, guilty conscience, unexpected twists & a really neat tied up ending. It also has a lot of characters from the previous books like the detectives, and Sophie (here u get to see the actual reason she died) and it's kind of happening in the same timeline too so i'll def say read the first one but it wouldn't bother u much if u chose not too. The characters are intriguing, the protagonist is interesting enough for you to invest in the plot and the plot's solid for the most part. It's light hearted for a thriller but if u love highschool thrillers u would totally enjoy this. It's also a VERY quick read, just one sitting and u r done.

it was alright, i expected more from the author since my favorite book is one of hers. i think i would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t an audiobook. more like 3.5 stars

At first this seemed like your typical boarding school/mean girls story, but I quickly learned I couldn’t have been more wrong. I absolutely loved the twist in the story, and the ending had me shocked. The book is pretty fast paced and action packed, new things kept happening before you’ve fully moved on from the last thing. Finished this in one sitting and it went by way too fast.
