3rd time I'm reading this. On my 3rd decade in this world. I read it back when I was 15 or so.. then when I was 24 or so and now that I'm 31, I had to re-read this just for the movie. Most stuff I read that I used to love as a kid, and by saying most it's like 4 out of 5 kinda thing, I tend to hate them as an adult, deciding whether or not I should touch stuff I liked when I was younger. Of course me being like a fucking cat, I always re-read, re-listen, re-watch shit I was when I was a kid. But yeah, this one here it stays as good as interesting and in my heart as it was back then. Still love it. Great cosmic story by the master of cosmic-comic-story-telling. It's Thanos. And he has all of the infinity gems and he can do everything he wants. You can read the rest and see what happens. Recommended as fuck. PS> I WOULD though recommend reading Thanos Quest or even better Silver Surfer : Rebirth of Thanos first, then Thanos Quest and THEN the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos Quest is Thanos' quest of collecting all of the stones, and then comes the gauntlet. So it ties up really well and it's also a really good story too.

This is the problem with old comics. There is this urge to always explain what us readers can clearly see with the art. Comics as a medium have the advantage of giving visual aide as well as narrative. It seems like with old comic books they never really utilized the visual aspect well. Since everytime something happens it needs to be explained either through dialogue or narration. For example: We can clearly see in the drawing that thor is charging at thanos. But they find it necessary to include the text "Thor then lunges at thanos with his mighty hammer". Its just like..... I know... I can see that. I'm glad that comics nowadays are more refined. Yet i still wish that there can be remakes of these important events that happened in older comics. This is a pretty huge event which eventually leads to the events that will occur in the new avengers movies. The only thing that made me continue this book was the final third of the book which really picked it up. The first two-thirds of the book were super boring to no end. Which is why I had to give this book a 3 star rating.
