Actual rating: 2.5 stars. Well. This is kinda sorta awkward and stuff. I read this less than a week ago but remember very little about it. Oh well, I guess it kinda sorta explains why I rated it 3 miserable little stars. And vice versa. I think. Maybe. Whatever. (Sorry, what? You have no idea what I'm talking about here? Don't worry, me neither.) Anyhoo and stuff, I think I sort of (vaguely) remember that the premise was sort of (vaguely) intriguing. Mostly because of the Victorian Steampunk Thingie Vibe. I think. Wait. I feel weird all of a sudden. I think I may be coming up with something lethal. Bloody shrimping hell of the stinking fish! It was something very lethal indeed! I just had a (quite unexpected and rarely hear of) lightbulb moment and remembered why I gave this issue such a pathetic rating! It's all because of the art! Bless my little decaying grey cells for recalling that much! Okay, to be honest, the art isn't actually bad. It's actually, um, well, pretty good and stuff: BUT. The way the heroine is portrayed = 🙄🙄🙄🙄. Are we not OVER the Bimbo of the Overflowing Boobs and So-Tiny-It's-Nearly-Nonexistent Waist (BotOBaSTINNW™) cliché yet?? Seriously and stuff, who is the target audience for this comic? Prepubescent, hormonal teens? (view spoiler)[🙄🙄🙄🙄 (hide spoiler)] I don't know the author and would have given him the benefit of the doubt if only the heroine hadn't added to the cliché by acting like a complete nitwit. But she did, so I didn't. Ah, gotta love writers and artists who perpetuate the slightly moronic, hot-looking kick-ass chick stereotype! Chop most gladly confirmed and stuff.

I loved the steampunk art but more importantly I loved Lady Mechanika and Mr Lewis! Brilliantly developed characters. The story was very interesting and had the right amount of action to keep me interested but still stick to the story! Highly recommend to anyone who's looking to get into graphic novels/comics because this is my first one.
