The best thriller you will read this summer

Interesting characters, but seemed a bit slow at times (lots of descriptions of food and drinks!).

This wasn't as good as Camino Island. I missed Mercer, who was the driving force for the first book of the series. There is way too much exposition and just hum-drum related to a hurricane season, which took up like a good third of the book. 

As for the plot, classic Grisham layout. Murder, scandal, social commentary related to the scandal, and then attempted justice.

It just lacked the focus on the bookshop and publishing world that Camino Island had, which made me love it so much. It wasn't bad, it would have been a good beach read if that's even possible in these current times. But the audiobook was good background for chores and such. You could accidentally tune out and not miss much. 😅
