As someone very facinated in the Cold War but had never lived through it this was a terrific book to read. The whole thing is written like a TLDR of the era and does a great job covering both the Soviet and the American leadership in roughly equal screen time. If you're looking for an abridged history of the Cold War this is the book for you.
