The Lies I Tell
Reviews

I love books that are pro-women 😩

A good suspense novel for the first 2/3 of the book, but fairly disappointing ending. No twist or trick just each character doing exactly what you think they will. Mediocre at best.

it had a few cliffhangers where you wanted to know what is going to happen next. i could mostly predict what was going to happen.3.5⭐️

Had me on the edge of my seat. Hated putting it down!

With multiple POV’s and alternating timelines, this book checked all the boxes. What an intricate plot! And while it was intricate, it was also well executed. The intricacy of the plot did not take away from the overall book – which sometimes happens when author are unable to organize their thoughts properly or overcomplicate things. This was so well done. A great Book of the Month choice for me after taking the last few months off. I’m glad I decided to go with this one! I was intrigued from page one until the very end. While I thought I had certain aspects figured out and that I picked up on the author’s subtle hints throughout, I was still off on my predictions. Con artists have always been a fascinating topic to me and I am so pleased with the portrayal of Meg Williams as our female MC/con artist. Well done, Julie Clark!

4.5 stars!

Fantastic thriller! Lots of depth. Loved the robinhood/vigilante aspect of Megs cons. Ending was fabulous. Looking forward to reading more of her books.
