Across the Night A Romance Novella

Julie Olivia2020
Night brings the unexpected, and I did not expect him. Hello, my name is Sadie, and I’m a workaholic. Social life? Forget it. Relationships? I’m currently mourning the death of orgasms. But sixteen-hour working days? Just another Friday night. As a manager at a hotel, the overnight shift just comes with the job. Normally, it’s uneventful—that is, until I meet Aiden. Here one minute, gone the next; he’s the mysterious businessman more silver-tongued than I can take, and he’s haunting me month-to-month. I wouldn’t call it serendipitous; we have hotel regulars all the time. But destiny has a weird way of bringing two sleepless people together. Not like I believe in that fairytale kind of stuff. I shouldn’t even be flirting with hotel guests as it is. But with Aiden Wrenn? All bets are off.

nah… that book wasn’t for me.

i can see the potential of the story but the female main character was horrible 😅

first and foremost, her lines were dry and i liked none of them. like none!

it was ok just reading her mind, her thoughts and ideas describing what is going on. but her actual lines with the male main character? wtf? completely out of sync. like a puppet doll saying things almost out of context. causing issues that there’s no need to be caused and completely ruin the whole vibe and storyline potential.

the stars go to the overall writing and the cute and sweet male main character who deserved better dialogues. 🥲

I don’t want to cry. I refuse. But I’m too overwhelmed and my emotions have nowhere else to go but out.

a pretty accurate description of tears i’d say.

I can feel the tug of our connection —our magnetic pull— a force that seems to keep us attached even when neither of us can find each other. And I just know what he’s searching for.

He’s searching for me.
