Diver's Heart

K.A. Knight2021
"The first time I met Tyler Lucas, I was seventeen. All it took was one summer to fall in love with him...but I fell hard, too hard, and not just for him... A series of bad choices and actions causes me to leave him and our family behind. I have to find myself once again, and to do that I must dive deep. At twenty-four, I'm a world-class diver and explorer, one of the best. But when my newest job collides with my past, will we be able to work together, especially with the stakes so high? Down below, things can easily go wrong, and when they do, we only have two options—work together to survive, or fall apart and die. Down we go, right into the abyss."--Amazon.com.

All of the hype that Aden of Vipers got on booktok should have gone to this instead. It was like the movie Descent but also a RH so it was very thrilling

Our lives were a constant adventure with twists and turns just like the caves we explored. KA Knight, what have you done? This book, you guys. It’s a unique masterpiece, filled with love, adventure, healing, finding yourself, adrenaline, and very sexy scenes that will leave you panting! The writing had me losing myself in this vivid world of divers and underwater caves. The plot is so developed, I truly felt like I was right alongside the characters in their exploration of the cave. You can tell the author did substantial research to create this fantastic story. I was breathless in a combination of awe and fear, to the unknown of what would happen. I did not see any of it coming. I thought this would just be a fun and smutty novel, but it was so much more. It reminded me a little of the movie Sanctum. If you’ve seen it, prepare for those feels ten-fold when you read this book. The tension to what is happening down in those underwater caves will surely have your heart wanting to beat right out of your chest. I fell hard for Peyton. Her resilience, boldness and strength speak for themselves. I admired how she would keep going no matter what life threw at her. And her men! Ugh, I’m like her, I can’t choose. They’re all equally addicting, amazing, caring, with their own kinks and attitude that will boil your blood. We are apex predators for life, and she is our queen. Overall, Diver’s Heart touched me in ways I never thought it would. If you want adventure with romance added to it, you will not regret picking this up. — Follow Me Blog ❃ Instagram ❃ Twitter ❃ Bloglovin ❃ Goodreads ❃ Pinterest ❃ Etsy Shop

2.5 ⭐️ The concept of this book is intriguing. It’s unlike other books I typically read. But for me, the plot fell flat. I didn’t connect with the plot or the characters. The suspense was predictable, but the smut was good 🤷🏼‍♀️ I really wanted to like this more than I did but it was honestly almost a dnf cause I got bored.

Possible spoilers ahead lol Ok I love a good reverse harem! This book started out great.. I loved the concept of the book. She loves 4 guys but leaves them because she doesn't want to hurt them.. 3 years later and oh look imagine that it's the same 4 men that she's going to be diving with. Defiently predictable lol I loved the main character Peyton! She was a badass and made sure everyone she loved was taken care of. To me the 4 guys were a little boring. Maybe it was because there's only one book to really get to know them? Overall it was a decent book.. but if you don't like smut or if your expecting a orgy don't read this book.. lol

Ty- Mr Bossman The leader, the one who has to remain strong for the others. He’s jealous by nature and controlling as hell but someone has to be in a tight knit family that they have formed. He’s caught between wanting to hating Peyton and love her all at the same time. Kalen- Mr Asshole He seems to be the 2nd in command behind his brother who is driven by loyalty and family. He’s constantly fighting a battle between loving his brother and feeling guilty for loving his brothers girl all while wanting to keep them both. Fin- Mr flirt & romantic He always finds ways to make the group smile, always trying to lighten the mood. He has an addictive personality that you can’t help but be drawn to. He’s also an adrenaline junkie and the one who takes the most risk. Riggs Mr softie & my undercover freak He’s the most understanding and affectionate one out of the group & probably the one who is the glue. He’s always the sweetheart, kind, loving, smart and sexy as hell. This book does such a good job at setting the vibe and atmosphere in the caves. It feels sexy, dark, suspenseful and fun. While reading it I find myself continuously on edge and even a bit aroused just by the environment in the cave alone. There is so much angst and some much tension between all of them it’s almost suffocating. What I’ve noticed is that all of the boys are feeling guilty about being in love with her bc they all feel she should only be with Tyler. She’s also harboring guilty behind it & labeling herself as greedy. I must say I have never seen that with a RH book. Normally either all of the men are on board with sharing or the FMC is okay with exploring her feelings with all of them. All of them feeling guilt is kind of exciting to see how it all turns out. Halfway through This fucking book blew my goddamn mind okay!!! The suspense had me on the edge of having a heart attack. One minute I was hot and bothered with all the steam. The next minute I was heartbroken because of all the pain they experienced it was so fucking much to handle. I honestly think this is one of the strangest and most fulfilling books I’ve read in a while. Towards the end I was just praying to GOD they all made it out alive and has the best sex of their lives bc honestly? What else can dull the pain and trauma of what happened in those caves.

This was such a wild adventure. I didn’t expect it to be what it was and genuinely could not put it down. The plot is really well written and incredibly immersive. I felt like I was exploring the underwater cave system with the characters. It was dark and SPICEY and definitely worth reading if you’re into RH romances. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is that sometimes the dialogue made me cringe a little from how corny it got, but I loved it none the less🌊

⭐️ 3 I LOVED Den of Vipers and so I was super excited when I heard of this book and how it is also a RH. I definitely loved the adventure aspect and how it wasn’t just spice, but it still did not hold my interest as much as Den of Vipers. I felt like, at times, it was a little repetitive and some moments I felt like the author wanted us to know each of the character’s thoughts on one situation and it wasn’t necessary. I do think it was a solid book, but not one that I need a physical copy of so I’m glad I read it on KU.

I soooo wanted to love this, but alas, it was just kind of average for me. I loved the setting of being on the ocean, and being in the sea and exploring it. I wanted to be a Marine Biologist when I was a kid, so the idea of a romance centering around diving, I was SUPER pumped. It does a good job of getting across the job description of our main characters. However, I did feel like it got a bit repetitive in we went exploring and swam and lugged equipment here and there etc. to the point where I was skimming those parts because they came up pretty often. I liked the characters, but none of them really stood out a lot to me, and they weren't as fleshed out as I would have liked, especially Riggs, Fin, Kalen and Tyler, the love interests for our main character. They all blurred together and weren't particularly different from each other, especially Kalen and Tyler who are brothers and Fin and Riggs felt very similar too, even though we read from all of their POVs. I had to work to remind myself whose POV we were following constantly with the male leads. I liked the suspenseful aspect to this, but I also felt like the scenes were repetitive in the way they were set up and the way the characters got through the situations they were put in. Overall, I liked it okay, but I don't think its very memorable, I didn't connect with any of our characters and that is something that I find important to my reading experience personally and this book just missed the mark for me.

So much potential! I thought this story sounded so cool. It's a reverse harem romance set in a horror/suspense plot of divers trapped in a cave with creatures attacking them. However, I didn't love it. The story is a second-chance romance in addition to reverse harem, and I often do not like second-chance romances. Also, the men are very domineering and jealous. There is a lot of hate sex, punishment, rough BDSM elements. None of which bodes well for reverse harem, especially when they will reluctantly "share her" rather than lose her. I found it very distasteful, and I really struggled to like the story. It was also incredibly long, and there was a lot of grief that felt unimpactful because I wasn't very invested in the story. Overall, it was a bit of a let down despite the cool concept.
