The world needs more men like Mick Routledge! He's everyone's friend, a great neighbour, a helping hand and when you let him in - he'll heat you up in the best way!
Juliette has the world, heck the universe on her shoulders. Between nursing, working in her family restaurant, looking after her chronically ill mum and teenage sister - there is not a lot leftover that is just Juliette. She friend zoned Mick because she couldn't face losing him as a friend when her life would suck up any spare time. But plans are afoot!
A devious matchmaker, a snowstorm and the pretty inn in the mountains may just give Mick and Juliette the chance at more!
This is a perfect wee gem of a story! The characters have chemistry, the families and townsfolk are interfering in the best, and their is the cutest potato of a doggie! The story is heartfelt, endearing and all too familiar tale of taking on more than your share of responsibility and losing yourself in the process. Mick's large found family of foster siblings and their families are #familygoals! I loved the way that Mick didn't cause drama or demand Juliette's attention - he just set about making her life easier.
I loved the authors Kilted Hearts series so getting to read this adjacent series was a great way to meet some new "friends".
