Honestly, this was seriously one of the best series I have ever read after  Harry Potter . This book was the perfect ending to this incredible series. I could literally sit here for hours and gush about this series but instead, I'll actually write the review. 

So Ethan is gone (view spoiler)[ as in dead.  (hide spoiler)]. Lena is completely devastated. She refuses to accept that Ethan is gone. While she is living, she enlists the help of Link, John and Olivia to help her get Ethan back. She also gets Amma and Macon to help her. By any means necessary. Which, in the magic world can be very sinister. 

Meanwhile Ethan is in ghost world attempting to get back to the living. He has to go through (view spoiler)[ Lena's mom  (hide spoiler)] along with trying to pass through the gates. He meets bad guy after bad guy in his desperate attempts to get back to the world of the living. He attempts to contact Lena as well to show he is still around and also hoping that she will help him. 

Normally, the ending to series can feel rushed or incomplete. This was not the case with this one. I felt very satisfied with the ending, although I had a bit of a book hangover. If I have book hangover, it usually means the book or the series was incredible. 

I just can't help but truly rave about this book and the series. It had just the right amount of everything. I have no complaints about anything. The characters were awesome. I loved Ridley and Link's relationship. I adored Ethan and Lena's. I think they were the perfect couple. They needed each other but in the same way, they are two separate people. I wish everybody could read this book and series.

This series will not be everybody's cup of tea, but it was definitely mine. Beautiful Redemption had me breathless from the very first page. Ethan Lawson Wate is such an beautiful and sincere character. The book was heartbreakingly amazing and the only reason I am upset is because it is over. The story, the poetry, the music, and the magic and the southern charm; I'm going to miss it. The Beautiful Creatures Series is added to the reason I love to read list. I look beyond the pages of the books and was transported to another world; which is the best thing that any book could ever do.

So...they killed Amma... I don't know to feel about this but I know that I don't like it. I didn't find it emotional, I didn't cry all the time all I thought was "what the fuck why". I honestly expected something better, something to blow me away. I expected a big battle with Abraham after Ethan comes back and idk maybe Lena this time almost dying. Instead what we got was a whole book about Ethan trying to get back, barely any action, Lena's poetry, and Abraham dead in five minuted by none other than Link. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVED that it was Link that killed him, but gardening tools? Really? The big bad Abraham Ravenwood, the first ever incubus, was killed by gardening tools (I forgot what it was) but I was so glad that Linkubus finally got his moment. he deserved it wholeheartedly. Now back to Ethan and his journey back to the living. I'm not sure how to feel about the 'he died and came back to life' trope. I like it sometimes and other times I just wished they stayed dead. I don't want Ethan to die hell no, but I'm not sure I wanted him to come back either. There wasn't anything exciting in his journey; not when he met Sarafine who ended up killing herself, nor when he got to the Far Keep and battled whatever his name was i don't remember. (Can you tell I have a short term memory I only just finished the book) I also didn't like how he barely got any time with his mom. He didn't even spend one day (in his time) with her, after not seeing her for about two years I mean come one Ethan Lena might be important but it's your FREAKING MOM. Moving on, if anyone told me that John Breed might have become one of my favorite characters, i would have laughed at their faces. But that guy was prepared to give his life to save his friends twice, and that ladies and gentlemen is what I call character development. All in all it wasn't bad, quite far from it, but as a finale it was a bit disappointing that's all.

Overall I was really impressed with this YA series. I loved the first book, and the last three and a half (including a short story) weren't nearly as good, but they were still worth reading. I loved the characters, and I think they'll stay with me long after. I also loved the town of Gatlin. Maybe you have to grow up in a small town to realize how close-minded, judgemental and yet trustworthy and good people can be. Maybe that's the point. We are all good and evil, Dark and Light. I know this series has gotten a lot of good and bad reviews and that most people seem to either love it or hate it. At the end of the day I would have to say I recommend it.

It's amazing, after the first one, for me it was the best one. It's amazing what Ethan did to get back for life to Lena. and ajfihdxnlkdowji I actually adored it. I'm sad too because you know...(who read the book knows).


After that I'm really upset because I remember doing a veeeeeery good review on this book, it's gone,it just disappeared. why oh why goodreads? what have I done wrong???

Ughhhh, why do I keep reading these stories where there's no end!?! I mean, yes there is a complete final loose end tie up for Ethan and Lena and it's quite wonderful and we get to visit will all of our happy couples at the end and it's nice. But the world itself isn't fixed. They don't deal with the actual Caster Chronicles, or how people are using them. Which I guess could be part of the Dangerous Creatures continuation but my gosh... it's super annoying. It's like, all of my favorite authors got together and were all "Hey, let's not solve any of the large world problems until our third or fourth series, just to make people crazy." and then they all cackle like witches around a cauldron. 

BUT, I digress.

Aside from that, I really liked the way this journey continued. I love, love, looooove Ethan's view of a hero and what it means to take a hero's journey. I think he sees it better than most anyone could and it's from a completely different perspective than what you normally see in YA novels. It was refreshing and interesting to see something different.

I also liked the final solution with the balance of the Order of things. I mean, I cried and hated it, but I liked how it didn't just miraculously change the whole world without any sort of price. That's a large theme in this series, you can change your fate but only if you're willing to pay the price. There are so many people in this that die and then come back, or die and are still able to communicate with our world, it's all so involved and wonderful, definitely an interesting take on it. 

The story as a whole was beautiful and I'm so happy I read it! I'm going to try to catch up with Dangerous Creatures before Dangerous Deception comes out. I've said a million times that I love the Ridley/Linkubus part of this so I'm excited to see their story continued.

In a couple years I'll pick up Beautiful Creatures again and delve back into the Caster world. I absolutely freaking loved it! & I cannot wait until the movie comes out in a couple months - I really hope it does these books justice.

I found that this book was very entertaining I ways that I don't feel like explaining. Xavier was a great character and I really enjoyed the scenes that included him. I am a little on the edge of if I liked that they created a point of view from Lena, I enjoyed reading from Ethan's point of view. It really upset me that the 4th book was so much shorter than the first.(Beautiful Creatures= around 600, while Beautiful Redemption was only 450 pages) Overall I liked the book but it didn't engage like I had hoped that it would.

Fans were certainly stumbling over themselves in anticipation over the conclusion of the much-beloved Caster Chronicles. We were all thrown off in the final moments of Beautiful Chaos and startled by the loss of one character. His sacrifice was huge in the moments that he gave up his own life to save his family, friends and the southern town of Gatlin.

Now, we follow him into the afterlife and watch with teary eyes as he tries to come to grips with his own death. But he isn’t the only one struggling: those who were left behind in the world of living are having a hellish time moving forward.

One thing is for certain, one thing everyone should know by reading this series, is that anything could happen. Nothing is impossible. Nothing is forever. Nothing is certain. In one small jump, we lost one important player–but is there a way to get him back? Beautiful Redemption shows us strength and determination in ways we had yet to see and is by far the most beautiful of the series.
