The Last Boleyn A Novel
Reviews

“Time would bring her to the bed to birth Staff's babe; time would bring Anne's next child; it had brought death to a beloved friend; time had brought separation from Hever; time had brought a daughter who loved her father so much that she would carry his poor bloody head home in her lap.” this book was something. for a while i was so pissed about so many of the historical inaccuracies and then the middle was such a fucking snooze fest. i almost dnfed but i had been reading this book for so long and stuck it out. the positives in this book are the beautiful descriptions of things. the dresses were so sumptuous. harper is definitely the best and most accurate writer of tudor fashion. which is honestly a low bar. also anne as a character in this was batshit crazy but i kinda digged it. like yes! give a conniving bitch!
