I gasped so many times.

Wild

Slow storyline initially. The story really started to pick up when Stefan called Ainsley by her name and "sinisterly" showed up at her house. Ainsley also wins baddest bitch award! Masterminded the best revenge on her cheating husband and at the same time framed the officer for the crimes (murders), her husband (Peter) secretly had been committing.

Wow, just wow.

Oh. My. God. This book deserves ALLLLLL the hype it’s getting and then some. A little over halfway through, I remember thinking to myself that while I was enjoying the book, I just didn’t get the hype. I didn’t see where the plot was going. Yes, there was drama, and tension, and questions to be asked but I didn’t see the point. BUT DONT WORRY, because it all came unraveling faster than I could have ever imagined. KMod - how do you do it?! This book was nothing like what I anticipated and I loved every single second of it. Send help for my bank account, because KMod has officially secured her spot as an “auto buy author”. GO READ THIS BOOK!

Ummm.. Definitely didn't expect that ending and umm what.. idk what to even say.. I am shocked 😲 holy shit 😳

goddamn this book is insane 😭 proud i predicted some of the bigger twists tho 🫡

this sht is wild

I’ve never read anything by modglin, but if I’m in the mood for a quick thriller I’m looking up their books 🥴. I’ve been out through the ringer with this one 🤯. The first half was a bit flat and the characters drove me crazy as you are getting to know them and their lives. the second half had so much happening and I never expected anything like what I got. That last 5% - 10% was just mind blowing. A bit out there, but mind blowing none the less. I read this in one sitting and highly recommended it. I’ve also never spoken out loud while listening to a book this much. You know how something gets you and you physically yell out “your so dumb” or “Gah why dude”. That was me the entire book. Huge thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape for an audiobook of this one. I’m so glad I listened to it.

Woah. What a wild ride!! I INHALED this book in two sittings. My mind feels like I just stepped off a crazy fast roller coaster where I’m still trying to grasp what just happened. My jaw fell open multiple times… normally this many twist make me hate a book, but I LOVE the way this played out. Excited to read the next book in the trilogy!!

If you’re looking for a fast read that will have you hooked within the first few pages and blow your mind with every twist and turn, look no further. This book will have you second guessing everything!

The Arrangement by Kiersten Moudglin is a fast-paced, addictive, and mesmerising domestic thriller. What starts out as an attempt to resuscitate their slowly dying marriage slowly morphs into a homicide cover-up and their secrets are slowly exposed. The plot is chock-full of asymmetrical twists and turns. Despite this blatant attempt to hoodwink the reader into ignoring the poor plot development, the high-tension scenes made this a memorable read. I gobbled it up with my eyes flying across the pages as I took in the captivating plot. The prose is succinct and conversational, and, before you know it, you're ensconced in their fictional world. It did feel like some details were added for their "shock value" and while I didn't become inured to the plot, I believe it would still have worked well without the many twists and turns—which, at a point, stopped making sense. I have also read other books. I write about them here: Litdarlings!!

I tell anyone who wants to read this that if it was a roller coaster, it would have derailed with the amount of twists & turns this book has. I could not put this down! My jaw dropped almost every chapter as I realized how all the pieces fit together & everything made sense. I recommend this to every single person I talk to about thrillers. I'm so excited to dive into more books by Kiersten Modglin!!

I think I have whiplash. 🤯🤯🤯

I might be one of the very few who didn't like this book. I felt it was a good book for people who are just getting into reading thrillers, but not for others who have seen the trope happening time and time again. It was a pretty short read, fast-paced and it did not have many unnecessary details to slow it down. What I liked- 1. It didn't have any fluff, it got straight to the point which is what made it a quick read, I appreciated it. 2. I was hooked from the first chapter and it kept me engaged as a thriller should. 3. It helped that it had short 5 min chapters which made it easier to stay hooked. What I was not a fan of - 1. How the twists felt like they worked out in the main characters' convenience; it felt very artificial somehow. 2. The writing don't make sense, considering the reveals that follow; very conveniently written. 3. It felt like a cliché of all the twists I've read in all the books, and its not the good twists, its the one you roll your eyes at. It feels like it would be a good standalone book, not as a series since it ended on a nice note. But I am still curious as to how the author would take this forward.

5 stars Ugh I’m so glad this was my first read of 2022!!!! This got me right out of my reading slump! Honestly this felt like a 4 or 4.5 star book but I honestly couldn’t think of anything wrong with it and I really enjoyed it so I give it 5 stars. I can’t wait for this author’s second book coming out right around the corner. THIS WAS SO GOOD and super easy to read. I thought I had it all figured out but I didn’t. I love LOVE when I still get all plot twisted. The surprise is the best part. This gave me a bit of My Lovely Wife vibes. If you’re in a reading slump READ THIS. ✨
