Well-written and really, really black -- like, none more black -- but not a lot of fun at all.

Racism and sexism aren't funny. Ever. It's not 'dark humor', it's lack of respect and basic manners. And I see that the main character is presented as an absolute ass, but it's just a little too much and he gets away with his bullshit. Luckily it's not all bad. The parts I like about the book is the story line and how accurate some things are for some places and people: the arrogance, the lying, the rivalry. Not only at record labels, but in the music industry all around.
