Knights End starts off right where the 2nd book ended! So if you haven't read book 2 yet watch out for spoilers ! This is a reverse harem adult fantasy series with forced proximity, arranged marriage and a runaway princess (absolutely love all these tropes!)

<spoiler> Ann Denton ripped out our hearts at the end of book 2, but we got it put back together! However not exactly in the same place as before! With the powers shifted between the characters, it gave a completely new twist to the story! I thought this was such a fun and creative spin, I was adjusted to each husbands power and how it also reflected in their personality, so seeing them adapt to new powers made me discover new sides of each of them.

We have some new side characters in the third book which made the story even more entertaining, such as Dini the sprite flower. Book 3 also has some very hot scenes between Bloss and her husbands (like the Ryan-Declan-Bloss scene which had me panting :P) and a lot of political intrigue! Quinn is my favorite husband so I hoped to see more of him in this book, but he was suffering through the side-effects of his new power. The plot is thick, with multiple things happening all around Bloss and her knights which kept my eyes glued to the page! We even had a sad death of one of the characters that I had greatly become found of :( An amazing and emotional story, with hot and sweet romance between Bloss and all of her husbands, their dynamics is on point. I am so so eager for the next books in the Tangled Crowns series, which will focus on Avia!

ok Ann, you have definitely made me a fan.. I will continue to give reverse harem a shot. This book was more geared towards the policies and governmental value of Bloss' kindgom. There was less romance for sure but I still enjoyed the unraveling of events. I am a huge fan of her sister! I would love to learn more about her. I love how the author slowly introduced Avia into this story to pace our her own journey in other books tiedd to the Tangled Crowns. 

I have to say Bloss was one hell of a character and her knights were special. Each of them had something.. QUINNNNN... I will protect you. Bloss is meant to be with all of them! This story gave me the feels, I love the side characters too! I am one sucker for side characters, I want to protect them always. 

I truly wish there was more romance, but! There was so much romance throughout the series, I have to say it was rather satisfying. I am so excited to learn about the new lands and the ways of Avia, this book was a heavy intro of her character and I am here for it! Super happy I gave this series a shot, it was so much more than I expected!

Such an amazing series! Knight's End concludes Bloss's story and I am going to miss seeing my boys and Bloss's bad ass attitude. I know she struggled with being queen, but I honestly think she did the best job she could in her situation.

Book 3 takes up where book 2 ends and Bloss finds herself in the midst of a war, her sister is still missing, and her men's power has all rearranged. Not the best start to a reign, but these were the cards Bloss was dealt.

We had to say goodbye to a loved character in this book, which actually made me really sad. If he had to die, I thought it was the best way he could go. Even in death, he was unselfish and helpful. He gives Bloss more time to carry out her plans and find her sister.

Once again, I love how Denton writes the romance between Bloss and each of her husbands. Every single one of them is so unique and have a developed personality. I can't imagine how hard that is when you are dealing with so many characters, but she knows exactly what Bloss needs in each of her men. Never did I feel like her husbands were over powering her. Which could be easy with so many of them, but Bloss holds her own.

My only tiny critic is that I did feel like the ending was a little abrupt. HOWEVER, I know that I'm going to be obsessed with Avia's story. I do think Denton did a great job at setting up Bloss' sister's story.

Cannot wait to continue on!

I miss the boys already.

This was a great end to this first trilogy, full of plot twists and political drama, which took center stage in this final installment since all the events in the previous books were leading up to a war. I think the author did a fantastic job at bringing everything together. It was fast paced, action-packed, and the resolutions to some of the conflicts were really clever. I also loved that we had the opportunity to see more of the world, and more characters that so far had only been mentioned. One of my favorite scenes was in Sedara, where we get to meet Declan’s infamous mother. In the short time we got to see her, she definitely lived up to her reputation. A remarkable b…well, you get what I mean. That scene led to one of my favorite moments between Bloss and some of her knights, too. 

The knights, as usual, hold a special place in my heart. They’ve suffered a lot in this book, and I think none more than Declan and Quinn. Especially Quinn. For reasons that I won’t disclose to avoid spoiling anyone, there were instances where we got less of him. Fortunately they didn’t last long (or so it seemed to me as I breezed through the book), but I felt his absence in those moments. Have I discovered who my favorite is? Perhaps. 

There’s also a fifth knight who was added to the mix, and while I loved him as a character, I feel like I didn’t have enough time to fully appreciate his relationship within the harem and with Bloss. He fit in fine into the group and had some great moments, but I didn’t warm up to him in his role as one of Bloss’s husbands like I did with the others, and that’s because I knew them the longest. I also have the overall feeling there was less romance compared to the other books in the series because the book demanded to give more attention to the plot. There were still some great moments, but the author spoiled us in the previous two books.

I’m so excited for the second trilogy in this series, which has Avia, Bloss’s sister, as a protagonist. I love her character, and the epilogue at the end promises trouble! I hope we also get to see what Bloss and her beloved husbands are up to.

That’s a wrap on my adventures with Bloss and her knights! KIGHT’S END was a fantastic conclusion to this first trilogy in the Tangled Crowns series. It was rich with all the action and plot twists I’ve come to appreciate in this series, and nicely brought to conclusion the political threads of the previous installments. We also got to visit more locations, which I really enjoyed because the world-building is so vast and has endless potential—potential that I’m betting will play a big role in the second trilogy centered around Bloss’s sister, Avia. I loved getting to see her again, and the author does a fantastic job setting up her story and making me extremely curious for her adventure without taking the limelight away from Bloss and her her boys.

My one “complaint” for this last installment is that while the pacing and action were as engaging as in the previous books, I found the romance to be a little lacking in comparison. There are some great scenes between Bloss and her knights as a group, but I missed those small, intimate moments between Bloss and each individual knight. For the main four, it was nostalgia since those scenes were what made me fall madly in love with them, but I especially wanted them for Blue and feel like they could have made his role within the harem more believable. While I loved his character as a whole, he feels disconnected from the other knights and from the harem dynamic, and his bond with Bloss seems to stem from lust rather than the deep, intimate feelings linking her to Quinn, Declan, Ryan and Connor. Plot wise, there were a lot of storylines to wrap up, so I understand that it was probably impossible to increase the romantic content without making the book excessively long and slowing down the pace, but maybe because of that I would have preferred not adding a fifth knight so late into the series.

Nevertheless, the book was incredible in its whole, and I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed reading this series. Despite being new to the reverse harem world, these books really read like a classic romantic fantasy story along the lines of Throne of Glass, but with more love interests at once. If you love that sort of book, I highly recommend this series!

           Hmm so 

-I like the guys and blue and everything that happens with them especially at the beginning

-the premise of the series with the magic system and shit continues to be very cool/unique

BUT

-lots of politics and battle strategy and tedious shit 

-not much sex
-kinda forgot about the plot with her sister until pretty far into the book because they are so wrapped up in planning that they don’t mention her like ever

-I hated that goddamn flower fairy thing so much

-from about 40% onward I kept wanting to do other things instead of pick it up and finish it. That’s pretty rare for me.

-the way it all shakes out with her sister at the end was not great imo

-don’t read the epilogue if you want to be happy and free of this book. I wish I hadn’t read it. 

This is one of those books (and series overall really) where I have a good time reading it but then when I stop and think about it I’m like meh about it.
