This is my second book by Gro Dahle. and I don't know how to express my adoration for her work.

I'm still at A1 in Norwegian course. And throughout reading this book, I must translate some of the words on my phone. Not a lot of words thankfully. But, you can imagine that I have to go through back and forth reading and translating. Just when I thought I will lost the emotion while translating, I cried. This book is so amazing that nothing can stop me from shedding the tears. 
 
There's something about her writing that really touch my soul. I loveeeeeee Dahle's work so so much. I must say that I perhaps love this one more than ROY. But, honestly I love them both.
I love how Dahle touch intimate and sensitive topic that not a lot of kids author brave enough to talk about. And the way that she writes is really like the way kids would write. Simple, honest, raw, and deep. I think that's why this book really can pierced your heart so so deeply.

Krigen is a written perhaps for kids, but I think it's a bit too "strong" for little or young kids. This illustration is graphic enough, even I think it's a bit too creepy. There are also one part in the book that I feel like not suitable for small kids. This book I think it's good enough for YA or adult. 
But, the message and the story of KRIGEN is important. It's heavy on emotional and it ruins me. 

It's a book about divorce, but yet I can relate to how Inga feel. Because I have been in a similar situation with her, even though everything is restored now. I really can connect to her deeply.

I borrowed this book from the library, but I gotta have my own copy. This is one of my favorite book ever!!! Gro Dahle, I shall read a lot of your books from now on.
