** spoiler alert ** My ambivalence about this series continues. I do not want to read about a half-demon horse that tried to have sex with its owner. I understand that Shen have true forms with animal traits, but do not want to reat implications about people having sex like that either. I will say that Kylie Chan's writing continues to improve; however, the series suffers from the basic weakness that the protagonist is less interesting than many of the supporting characters. I am taking a break from this series for awhile. Maybe a break will get me curious enough to finish it.
