3.75 stars. It was a very interesting concept, but the violence was stylized in a way that made me uncomfortable at times. I wouldn't mind seeing this adapted to really hone into some elements further.

The art and the aesthetics in Lady Killer are brilliant! Who doesn't love a bunch of foofy 1950s dresses, particularly when an assassin is wearing them? There are also a lot of kitschy ads with the characters that I found utterly delightful. The story is a bit basic. It sets up the series well, but isn't super groundbreaking. However, if you like a good spy thriller, it will hit the right notes, and I look forward to volume 2!

Nothing like a bad-ass lady in the 50s living the american dream - being a housewife and a professional assassin! The artwork is great and the Josie, the main character, is a woman that conforms to the expectations of women of her time and breaks them. She'll killing someone in the morning and taking her kids to ballet and cooking dinner by 5 pm. This book is tons of fun, but also comments on what it was like to be a woman in the 50s. All in all, a great read!

I only picked this book up because of the cover and I'm glad that I did because I really enjoyed the story and loved that they had a female lead.

One of my favourite comics that isn't related to DC or Marvel. The art style is gorgeous, the plot is spectacular. For any lovers of the 50's/60's aesthetic (fashion, makeup etc), you'll love this. Edited: God, this still remains one of the most gorgeous comics I've ever read. Reminder to pick up vol 2 ASAP!!!

This was a lot of fun and different from pretty much any other graphic novel I've read. It could have benefited from a bit more fleshing out (apologies for the pun) and expansion of characters/background. Regardless, this was a great quick read and the art is gorgeous and a bit gory without going over the top. I hope the next volume is out soon.
