Introduction
Darker After Midnight is the 10th installment in the "Midnight Breed" series. I really was so excited to get back to this series. This was part of a romanceopoly pick and I am so happy that I was able to get to this one. I had forgotten how much I loved the world of the Midnight Breeds. I really enjoyed how this one was built and oh boy it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. If you are a fan of vampires, then I can't recommend these books enough especially if you prefer higher amounts of steam. The author definitely writes these aspects so well here. I do recommend reading the series in order if you can.

My Outlook
Darker After Midnight, is such a fantastic book! I absolutely had so much fun with this one. It definitely contained the best spooky paranormal vibes that I was looking for. It was also fun to get back to the series and all my favorite characters again and you can bet I will be returning to this series soon as I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the writing style of this author. It was so intriguing to see how the author built up the story. I just loved it so much. I also was so intrigued by the way the author built up the plot of the book. This book really escalated the evil plans of Dragos and I can tell you it gets INTENSE in this book! Whew boy! I absolutely loved how well the author wrote these elements and how much it raises the tension and climax in the story but the way that the story actually wraps up was just right! And I am intrigued to see what happens with the heroines in the next upcoming books. The author built this story just right to make me want to read more right away!

After finishing the first generation series, actualy I have to talk about it. At first kiss of midnight was just a recommendation. But win I saw the title: a voice inside me told me that I have to give it a chance and read it, well it was extremely worth reading. I gave it 5 stars from the first book till the tenth without any hesitation. The author was really creative until the last word. I've loved the order with all my heart. I even saw them in a dream. I loved how they wanted to protect the world, how they were fighting till there last breath. And more, How they loved each other like a family. How they made the world a better place not just for them and there mates, but for the humans as well. And at the end: they succeeded and saved the world as well as too many lives. Certainly I'm going to read the second generation series. And continue the journey with the midnight breed.

SUCH A GOOD ENDING FOR THE SERIES! It's hard to find the cons... So I'll start with the pros! Pros: The action-this was one of the most intense books in the series. There were so many moments in the book that had me on edge. I wanted to reach into the book and strangle Dragos. I grimaced, sulked, laughed, and more, all throughout the book. The emotion-especially of Chase's suffering. It felt so real. I thought Adrian did a very good job depicting his struggle with bloodlust. My heart broke for him and Tavia as he was fighting the addiction while fighting against Dragos. The side characters-I loved that so many past characters were brought back into this novel for one last epic battle. Only person I felt in the Order that needed more attention was Rio. The side stories-Jenna's nightmares, all the children, Gabrielle wanting a baby, and more The Breedmate-Tavia is awesome!! Holy crap. I don't want to spoil it but SHE IS FUCKING AWESOME. Cons: Felt like it ended too quickly! Dragos should have suffered for a good few more paragraphs before he died. I just felt like it ended too fast. I think the beginning should have been shorter, or the book should have just been longer in general. Even though the immediate concerns concluded, I still had so many questions. Jenna and her powers and nightmares, Kellan and Nathan, and more. Over all, I loved loved loved this book. After feeling very split over the last few novels in the series, I can strongly say that this was a solid book all around. Would definitely read again.
