Rebel Montgomery Brothers Book #3
Reviews

as predicted, Jack’s book was great. the bar was high and it didn’t disappoint.
FYI, it’s a best friend’s little sister and fake dating romance.
the pull between the MCs was obvious right from the start and although Monroe was trying to deny it, she wasn’t annoying or rude.
this book was definitely a lot more spicier 🌶️ than the other two and i really enjoyed their time together. seeing Jack falling in love was so heartwarming and sweet!
he’s charming and funny, his lines are hilarious and i could see him being the highlight of anyone’s day. he definitely made mine!
the plot twist was pretty good, and aside from the main romance plot it’s very interesting to read. i literally couldn’t stop reading.
the writing seemed improved to me compared to the other two (regarding the dialogues and how genuine they felt to me) at least to the most part and what i wish i had seen more was Harrison 🥲.
i’m super happy and satisfied with this book.

Highlights

“They can wait. Right now, I need to show you how much I love you.”
“You show me every day,” she whispered.
“That’s the plan.”

I always held back just a little bit from allowing myself to be completely happy. Because the fear of actually being happy and then losing it, was apparently less scary than not allowing yourself to be happy at all.

“There’s no replacing the other half of your heart, honey.”

“The best things in life never come easy.”

“I won’t hurt you. I’m afraid you’re the one in the position to do all the hurting.”
She tilted her head to the side, lips swollen where I’d kissed her hard, and eyes narrowed and questioning. “How do you figure?”
“Because you’re the one that keeps trying to fly away, Little Bird.”

I knew the pain of losing someone you loved. Loving someone meant that you had something to lose.

“It’s not like I’ve won every race in my life. People beat me sometimes, it just made me work harder. I didn’t hate them for it. I blamed myself for losing, not others for beating me.”

My father taught me at a young age that wisdom is something to be shared. He always told my brother and me that if you strive to be the best you can be, then you have nothing to worry about. There’s enough room at the top for everyone. Brett Waters wanted to be alone at the top, and that was a red flag for me.
