Preparing Supported Raney Nickel Catalysts by Dip Coating

As part of the Bureau's research into developing methanation catalysts for converting synthesis gas derived from coal to synthetic natural gas, this report describes a method to prepare supported Raney nickel coatings by dipping screen-covered nickel sheet in molten aluminum-nickel alloy.
