This is the second installment of the Meredith Gentry series and it has a return of Meredith to her home in Los Angeles with a few guests in tow with her. She is approached by a member of the Seelie court who has been exiled for the past century. The Seelie fey has a very strange request that she brings to Merry.
Merry is contacted by her aunt, the Queen, being warned that there is a powerful evil possibly heading her way. More political intrigue follows Merry as she deals with both her aunt and now her uncle who is insisting she visit, though Merry knows that to be a terrible idea. The ending was a fast whirlwind of action.

I feel like I was listening to a fae version of Anita Blake. Not really a fan of this one.

I liked the first book in this series, but I didn't have the same pull to finish this one as I did in the first. I only read it half-way through.
