I like how the books of Katee Robert get better with the next on the series. This was very good and the plot thickens.
The smut was exquisite, I'm a sucker for poly relationships. And the plot was on point; can't wait to read the other ones.

The smut was fire per usual but the plot was so similar to the sea witch it definitely took me out of it. Iām reading this series out of order so the sea witch comes later technically but itās just so similar. I think Iāll be taking a lil break from the series for a bit.

My, my, my, this book was so hot. Hades, Meg and Hercules really know how to turn up the heat. Iāve really become obsessed with these deliciously dark and dirty Disney reimaginings. Katee Robert knocks these right out of the park. They are SO GOOD and really fun to read. I really loved the dynamic between the three of them. They are all so different, yet when they come together they have such a great connection with each other and fill in the gaps to one another. I loved getting to read and learn more about each of them, especially Hades. He was such a mystery in Desperate Measures and I was dying to learn more about him. This book was very easy to get into and had me blushing nonstop. Also, listening to it on audio made the experience even better. I loved all of our main characters as well as all the side characters and can't wait to read book three about Hook & Tink! āļøāļøāļøāļø

Iām not sure why I keep reading these or giving them such high ratings. Maybe because in the moment, I just want a quick smut fix that I donāt have to work for, but honestly these could be so much better with a little more effort. With what we were given, this story felt too long. The characters were a bit more fleshed out than in the first book, but not by much. The worldbuilding is still non-existent which makes the story hard for me to follow when I donāt understand the world the characters are navigating or living in. Everything fell into place way too easily and the conflict was resolved basically as soon as it started. This was a Hades/Meg/Hercules retelling and honestly, I could see how the BDSM dynamic would work between them, but I still didnāt really care for it.

Not into it

You get exactly what's promised in the blurb...You gotta give it to Katee Robert, how the characters are set up in the story is extremely creative. This triangle was a bit too much out of my comfort zone lol.

one of her spicier ones. sort of dumb plot but we all know we arenāt reading it for that

I will say that I am learning to really enjoy this series that Katee Robert has been writing but they are some of the HOTTEST that I have ever read from her so far. So fair warning on that one. I love seeing the unique play on the fairy tales, not really a big fan of making villains out of the hero from the stories BUT Katee Robert really shows a unique side to these villains and seeing them find their HEA. This one is a menage love story that is based on the āHerculesā tale where our characters Meg, Hades and Hercules have a fiery romance. The sex scenes were (fanning your face) hot so warning you all on that one, and it does play on the more kinky side of things. Even though I donāt read menage too often, I was really drawn into this one. All three have such unique dynamics so I really admired how Robert really blended this romance together and just unified all three so beautifully.

3.5

So far in this series Learn My Lesson has been my favourite. Itās loosely based on the story of Hercules and is spicy with sweet moments just as Desperate Measures is but it just had something more. I think Katee Robert really moulded the plot and the spice together well in this, neither felt as though it overpowered the other as can sometimes be the case. We met Hades and Meg back in book one, Hades is the ruler of the Underworld, and Meg is his right hand, his queen Meg herself even mentions. Meg was happy once, eager to play his games and earn his praise, but now she describes their love as cruel edges. I love the difference in personalities between Hades, Meg and Hercules and how they all fit together and really begin to better one another. Having the shifting point of view made me love it so much more, we saw each of the trios own thoughts and insecurities as well as how they perceived each others. We didnāt get as much from Hades, he guarded his emotions a lot more closely than the other pair and offered next to no reassurance when Meg felt as though she was being replaced or pushed away but we do find out a little of Hades past which I felt explained his actions to a degree. The revival of Hades and Megās relationship once Hercules becomes a part of it was my favourite part, I loved seeing the wounds caused by their 10-year long relationship slowly begin to mend and how Hercules genuinely wanted the pair of them to find those forgotten feelings and emotions they once bright out in each other. My only issue was that the vulnerability and mending of the relationship took up a majority of the book with things being resolved right towards the end. I would have liked to of seen more of them once everything had worked out, after the big crescendo. Really what Iām saying is Iām greedy and wanted more of this polycule.

Love how Learn My Lesson ties in with Neon Gods. Lots of little things connect the two. Bonus points for Meg being childfree.

Did i read this for the smut? Yes. Did i care for the plot? No. Hercules as a himbo was good though

why is jafar mad at hades but not meg i need elaboration

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review* I didnāt think it would be possible for this book to be as good as the previous but I think itās even better! This book left me speechless⦠Itās just perfect! There is not a single thing I would change in this story. Meg is the queen of the Underworld, the nightclub where Hades is king. She has learned her lesson many years ago, back when she sacrificed her freedom for the man she loved and that immediately left her as soon as he got what he wanted from her. But she has done the best she could of the situation and has reinvented herself as the companion of the man who possesses her, body and soul. Only their relationship has been deteriorating for some time now. Hades no longer confides his plans with her, heās been distant and that has taken a toll on her. Hades realizes something is not right in his relationship and, instead of talking to her, he decides to give her a present: Hercules. Of course Hades never does anything without second intentions which means the choice of Hercules is not random. After sending Meg to seduce and have sex with Hercules, Hades makes him think that Meg is his prisoner and manipulates Hercules to strike a deal with him. Besides being a submissive, Hercules is also very naĆÆve, so he trades himself for Meg, not establishing a term for the contract. Exactly what Meg did all those years ago when she was a young naive like him. Conformed to his new reality, Hercules is quick to adapt to it, having the comfort of having as Meg and Hades as his masters. Yes, Hercules is bisexual and is attracted to them both. And, if Meg starts being disappointed with him when she finds out what happened, she ends up being extremely protective of Hercules. However Hades didnāt count on Hercules getting under his skin. And when it becomes obvious that the only possible future for them is going to have to be a threesome, what will that mean for Hades plans? Wow! Just wow! The scenes between these three⦠Wow! Clearly the authorās research with the Barbie dolls worked because I felt like I was in a corner of the club watching. And it was so good⦠I have extremely high expectations for the next books of the series, especially for the next one that is going to be about Hook and Tink.

This one was hard for me to get through, did not care for the dynamic/character development. But Iām incapable of DNFing so here we are.

Tragically boring and a huge letdown after desperate measures. I don't even want to continue the series after this one

I didnāt know I needed a Hercules/Meg/Hades relationship but omg this was great. They have the cutest triad ever.

3.5/5 stars

This one was a letdown for me after reading desperate measures which had me absolutely hooked from the beginning this took me so long to get through couldnāt figure out what was dragging it on I think I had more to do with just the characters themselves. Separate theyāre great but together I donāt know it just didnāt really seem to mesh to me the ending got a little better but it took a lot to get there.

This was a fun romp into the relationship between a modern-day Hercules, Hades, and Meg. It was definitely sexy, but the actual plot left a bit to be desired. The entire conflict hinged on miscommunication, and that tends to really irk me. It shouldn't be that hard to just talk to someone! This was good, but not great.

3,5/5

Really not in the mood for smut right now. :( I'll definitely come back to this at some point though!

Though it was kinkier than the first one, I just didn't fall for the characters as much
Highlights

Pain and pleasure. Pleasure and pain. Both will kill you in the end if you're not careful.
