Las posesiones

The narrator of Las posesiones leaves Barcelona for Palma to spend some time with her family and care for her father, who recently retired and has trouble adapting to his new life. She runs into her old lover and mentor, and remembers a macabre event in which a successful businessman killed his wife and kid before committing suicide. Weaving together three storylines, this novel is about the things we lose when we grow up and how we learn from that.
