This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Summary Sophie Darling, has boarded a flight inbound to London for a elite job offer, all expense paid trip and how could she refuse such an opportunity especially when she is surprised to learn that her seat gets bumped up to first class with all the trimmings, except there is one downer, her seat partner is a jerk and offended that he has to sit next to her. Yeah but Sophie is not going to let Mr. High and Mighty get away with his self righteous attitude. But Sophie soon realizes the real reason that Gabriel Scott is not wanting to share the seat next to him, he is terrified of flying but Sophie is bubbly and upbeat and distracts him all the way to London. Sophie is stunned to hear that Mr. Gabriel Scott, is also her boss (kinda) and oh boy is she in trouble, because sparks fly whenever they are close together and not touching him will be torture. Gabriel has set himself apart from others, it protects his heart, and even though he has found a family in the band members, he keeps himself locked away but Sophie has a way of making him open himself up in ways he never imagined... The Hero Gabriel Scott is brilliant with money, enjoys his luxurious comforts and his plentiful choice of homes all over the world but keeps the emotional side of himself locked away where no one can hurt him. Gabriel was once hurt by those he once called family, and had to learn a very hard and bitter lesson in life. He found his new family among the band members, all of whom he will do anything for and protect no matter what. Gabriel is one sexy beast and I have loved his character from book one. And boy was he wonderful as the hero here. Callihan did a tremendous job with his character and I couldn't get enough seeing more depths and grooves to him, and seeing what really makes him tick. And we see some great changes in him, from him being cold and closed off to being honest and open and laughing and sharing affection in public and what a journey. The Heroine Sophie Darling, has found what she loves to do and is dang good at and even though she has made a dreadful mistake in the past, she is determined to keep moving forward until that one mistake bites her in the behind upon learning of her new job. Sophie, unlike our hero, had a good upbringing, with loving if not obnoxious parents that adore her. Sophie was a heroine I could get behind and I truly loved the way that her character is totally opposite of Gabriel. She is spunky, bubbly, sweet and fun. She is literally the "life" of the party. But she also has such a likable personality, you just love her instantly. Plot and Story Line Managed is the second book in the newest series by Callihan and what a book this one. Now while I did enjoy Idol quite a bit, Managed was by far a way better book in my opinion. First off we have Gabriel Scott as our hero and what a hero he makes. Like truly, swoon worthy, grumpy and dramatic Gabriel that gives you shivers. And our wonderful heroine Sophie handles him so well. Its like she is meant for him, because he learns to relax and be himself with her when he doesn't allow it with anyone else. Granted he can be stubborn and pig headed which causes some ripples between him and Sophie but what FUN ripples they are. “You should know, I can’t be a fling. Not with you. If you want me, you have to be all in.” A frown knots his brows, and when he speaks, his voice is a rasp. “I’ve lived my whole life denying myself what I truly want. And yet I cannot turn from you. Haven’t you realized it yet? I am yours. I will always be yours, whether I touch you or not.” This couple is quite fantastic together. And I will admit this book had me laughing up and down and sideways and all the way in between. We see more of the band members and maybe hints of the "next book" maybe??!! And yeah I love seeing them together again and all of their interactions together. The romance is sexy and sweet and quite a tear jerker at times. This is one of those "opposite attract" stories that end up being AMAZING and curl your toes type of book. I have never experienced intimacy. I did not know how good it felt to simply be with someone and let everything else melt away. The world can fuck off when I’m with Sophie Darling. There is only us. I don’t have to be anyone else but Gabriel. These two are as different as night and day but somehow find their own compromise of sorts and end up being just perfect for each other in the end, but its not an exactly easy road for them. They have their rifts on their road that creates some short stops but they work through it and their relationship becomes even stronger. Yeah I had a blast with this story and eager to see what Callihan comes up with next. The Cover What a pretty pretty cover, I just love the swirl of color here!! Sophie and Gabriel are both so charming and endearing that you love them as individuals as well as a couple. I related to Sophie's internal fears of inadequacy and the unpredictability of the future because she doesn't have a set "dream" job. Sophie just wants to enjoy life and I felt that! Gabriel has never had a place in the world, a true family who loves him for him.. until Sophie who has become his own family and home!! "I didn’t have a home until she came into my life. She gave me one without hesitation as if she’s been waiting for me all this time, knowing I was meant to be hers." “I am a cold man. Any happiness or warmth I’ve felt died when Jax tried to take his life. Until you. You are my warmth.” - MY EYES ARE PEEEING "Home. Does she realize how many times I’ve referred to wherever we rest our heads as my home?" I love reading about the mere presence of Sophie melting Gabriel's icy exterior away. Sophie allows Gabriel to feel safe enough to be emotionally open (which he views as a weakness before). OMG I absolutely adore Gabriel Sunshine Scott especially the British voice actor in the audiobook like YUM!!! also, his grand gesture, in the end, was def BIG DICK ENERGY!! (view spoiler)[ First of all, this totally tops the first book grand gesture with the speech alone “First and most importantly, I love you. I have never said that to a woman, and I will never say that to any other but you. I’ve lived long enough to know that you are completely it for me. This is a done deal—signed, notarized, what have you.” “My will. I almost didn’t get it done on time,” he muses. “I’ve left everything to you.” “I want to give you tangible proof that—whether you marry me or not—my life is literally linked with yours until the day I die. What a great meet cute ... Gabriel and Sophie, oh how I loved them! It was a slow build with lots of wanting but the pace was just right. Sophie and Gabriel meet in first class on a flight to England. She gives to Gabriel in his time of need and there starts a friendship/dependency. Sophie’s free spirit and Gabriel’s staid manner worked well together. As they say still waters run deep. Their friendship turns to lust and then ultimately love. Story is set along KillJohn’s European tour leg. I enjoyed is how they became so connected without the benefit of sex right away however the heart recognizes. They were attracted but didn’t want to risk ... afraid they were reading the signals wrong. The verbal exchanges definitely kept me interested and smiling. When Gabriel decides to step up and declare his love boy does he do it in a big way. Swoon!

Os protagonistas desta história e os diálogos entre eles deviam de ser a maior razão para lerem este livro. Adoro os temas abordado se sobretudo que, finalmente, vejamos um romance que não funciona apenas entre músicos mas sim com o pessoal do staff que trabalha com bandas mundialmente conhecidas. Acho que isso, honestamente, foi o que gostei mais sobre este livro que abordasse todo o outro lado das turnês e da quantidade de trabalho que é necessário para as mesmas funcionarem. O Gabriel e a Sophie são o par romântico mais engraçado de sempre e também o mais improvável mas vale a pena pelas posições fortes e opiniões que ambos têm. Recomendo muitooooo

Reread #1 my reread of managed was a fun time because it reminded me how much i loved sophiegabriel and their story! this book holds a special place in my heart. Sophie Darling is my best girl! I love her character so much and she made me laugh so many times and while my reread it reminded how much i missed her and how much i see myself in her. Gabriel Scott... Hi, Hey, Hello... I love you! you will forever be my favorite grumpy man! i just love this man so much and his grumpiness, its very cute! Taylor Swift wrote London Boy about Gabriel Scott and im not taking any questions for that. Sophiegabriel will forever remain my top favorite couple from this series because i read them first and they hold a special place in my heart.

This is a done deal—signed, notarized, what have you.” I was so excited for Sophie and Gabriel's story, everyone talked about how they are the top Grumpy/Sunshine couple, how they invented the trope and guess what? I get it!! I totally freaking get it because they stole my bloody beating heart the second they started to talk to each other!! It was kinda quick but it was so funny and cute that I didn't mind at all and their banter was just iconic since page one!! Gabriel went through hell and now he is a king and I loved reading from his pov and learned more about him and get to know the real man he is and how caring and protective he really is of his family aka the guys and Brenna and Libby and of course Sophie and how he cares so deeply for them and takes care of them, was actually so perfect and amazing and heartwarming to read!! Sophie Darling, her name just freaking fits and even though she made big mistakes in the pass, I love how that never got in the way of her personality to be happy and making other people happy even though, a little bit like Gabriel, it was a mask, deep down she truly is this beautiful, cute, funny, kind, caring, wonderful woman who got to finally found the career of her dreams and fall in love with the man who loves and cares for her so deeply!! I just loved them both so much, and seeing all the guys and Libby and Brenna all over again was epic and I fell in love with this family even more and I'm so excited for the rest of the books and read from Jax's perspective!!! holy shit scottie. that’s all I have to say. I get it now, why everyone loves this book because now I love this book. I’ll be re-reading it within the year I’m sure.

I liked the premise and the dynamics between the two characters but the angst was meh and it drove me insane that his nickname for her was chatty girl. Also the fact that the author kept switching the narrative POV and time point in the midst of certain scenes was ... questionable. Other than that I liked it.

I just have to say that Gabriel and Sophie have my heart!!! This book was so good!!! Gabriel was just perfect that I felt in love with him, and if I could I would have him to my self ahahaha!! The way they both had masks in front of everyone but together made one another take thoses masks off was beautiful, and I loved seeing Scottie letting the boys in!!! The scenes were they were all together was so funny!! And that karaoke scene in Gabriel's bus!!! I adore it!! And that epiloge? See them all together and having fun? LOVE IT!!!!! Really excited for Jax's book!!!

just ehh; liked that drama wasn't strung out

Gabriel Scott is the new hero of my heart, Sunshine of my soul, lord of my loins. The slow-burn is FOR REAL with this one, and I loved it while I desperately and furiously read to get to when Sophie and Scottie finally got to bang it out. Dead. I highlighted basically every passage of my eBook, and just absolutely adored this story. Yes, the final conflict I could see coming from a mile away, but really I didn't care, and the epic grovel was most epic indeed. I will definitely be re-reading very soon. My review above stands after my last re-read. God I love Scottie. I love how this slow-burner slays my loins and makes me pant for it as much as Sophie and Gabriel are by the time they FINALLY have sex. I love how absolutely terrible Gabriel is at feeling his feelings, despite being so in charge of the rest of his life and his people. I adore Sophie for not taking shit and for putting herself out there and for saying YES to bed sharing with this grump. Every line of this book is perfect and I'm in love. Scottie can talk to me like a Duke any day of the week.
