Markus Schinwald questions the normal and its perception in artistic images through the alienation of space and the human body. At the centre of this publication are the amply presented installation photographs from Kunsthaus Bregenz, complemented by numerous depictions of pivotal works from the past few years. Essays elucidate Schinwald's complex staging of the game of reality, experience and perception. The design of the artist's-workbook was done in close collaboration with the artist.
