I mean, I have literally nothing to compare this to (seeing as it's my first graphic novel / comic book bind-up) but WOW it was incredible. I adore Iron Man and I knew this would be the right place for me to start in the Marvel Comic Book Universe, and I was so right! The characterization of Tony is perfect, and seeing as the movies came from this era of comics, it's a testament to how great the films are. Completely unexpectedly, I actually got really emotional towards the end. This bind-up features a lot of issues that are relevant in modern day life, particularly terrorism, and that really hits home. Tony tries to deal with it and it's so saddening. Also, Spiderman! He and Tony are so great together, I love it. Overall, I absolutely adored this and I can't wait to read the next installment.
