Folklords
Reviews

The plot of this graphic novel was rather entertaining and enjoyable as we follow our MC as he sets off on a quest to find the folklords. The folklords are not to be searched out or even talked about out loud in this world making it tricky to know where to start. He finds some new friends along the way that help him in his quest. I think the downfall of this graphic novel were a couple themes that annoyed me a bit and I did read this right after a feminist book so these themes really stood out to me as they were on my mind. Issue 1: one of the characters chose their quest to find themselves by running around kissing every man she could as she felt she didn't belong as she was. For whatever reason this irritated ne as you probably shouldn't force people to kiss you. I think it was meant to be funny but I just didnt find it to be. Issue 2: There was a woman who was the MC's friend before who was kicking butt and then at the end they are calling her his damsel and making it seem as though she didn't do as much as he did or at least have a part in helping complete this quest but was just at his side doing nothing. For these reasons the plot couldn't hold the rating up higher than a 3 for me.
