Frenched

Frenched

**This book includes FRENCHED (Mia and Lucas) and YANKED (a Mia and Lucas novella)**FRENCHED: When I got dumped by my stupid fiancé a week before the wedding, my plans involved nothing more than ice cream, and blanket fort, and a bonfire of his possessions. But my friends convinced me that bitter tastes better drowned in Bordeaux, so I came to Paris for a single-moon. Then I met him. He's shown me things I've never seen before, and I'm not talking about the Louvre. Is it just the seduction of Paris? Or could this be the real thing? YANKED:I never expected any of this- Getting dumped. Going to Paris alone. Falling for Lucas (he was so not on my list). We've done the long-distance-love thing for eight months now, and I'm ready for more. But after I discover what he's been hiding, will he stay on my list? Or should I cross him off for good?

I officially have a new answer for when people ask “if you could live the plot of any book, what would it be”. IT’S THIS. this is the ultimate “travel to europe and get swept off your feet by a hot french man who knows everything about wine and art and history and offers to be your personal tour guide during your vacation” fantasy. i mean…. surely i’m not the only one who has that fantasy? Mia’s whole life is turned upside down when her fiancé calls off their wedding a week before it’s supposed to happen. she ultimately decides to go on their planned honeymoon to paris alone because paris has always been her dream. after one day there, she decides she is surrounded by far too much romance and too many happy people and wants to cut her trip short… enter Lucas. Mia & Lucas meet by chance at a bar and he offers to show her around paris for one day hoping he can convince her to stay and experience everything the city has to offer. I can’t even express how much i loved this book. it was so fun and flirty and HOT and i felt like i was walking around paris in the rain with them. Lucas is the opposite of everything Mia ever thought she wanted in a man, and she learns just how much she’s been missing out on. This story takes place over 7 days, so the ending is a “happy for now” which i appreciate because anything more would’ve been too far fetched, but i’m told we see more of their HEA in the next two books, which are about Mia’s friends.

And Melanie Harlow does it again!!! Mia has been ditched a week before her wedding. Feeling utterly humiliated and filled with anger, her closest friends urge her to go on her honeymoon ....alone. Mia has always dreamed of going to Paris...why should she give up that dream along with all of her others?? Mia isn't so sure though.... Sure enough, Mia finds herself in Paris. The city of love. Wonderful. She needs a drink to deal with this and heads to the first English bar she spots. The Beaver. Perfect. Upon entering, the bartender (Lucas as we learn) begins to make small talk....and Mia finds herself opening up about the worst week of her life. Lucas appears sorry for Mia, and offers to act as tour guide for all the unromantic spots in the city. But this is Paris of course....love is always in the air. Mia and Lucas instantly connect in the most unexpected ways. I absolutely LOVED this story! It was like a modern day fairytale.....with the added bonus of some very hot love scenes! I am left wanting to buy a ticket to Paris with the hopes of meeting my own Lucas! I literally felt like I was on this voyage with Mia....tummy flips and all! If you haven't read a book by Melanie Harlow as of yet, you really need to make the time. All of her books have been 5 stars for me...I highly recommend them!

***5+ Stars*** I have had this book sitting on my Kindle for as long as I could remember. I even have a signed paperback I got from the Author herself. Why it took me so long to pick it, I will never know, but I am kicking my own butt now for not picking it up and reading it sooner. Lucas Fournier has just made it onto my top book boyfriend list. This man knows what he is doing in and out of bed. Did I mention he is half French???? And Mia, her and those damn lists. By the end of the book, I found that I have a girl crush on this woman. Her character developed so much and when she let go of those lists and plans, she became a feisty little thing. I loved this book and Melanie is just so talented. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series!!
