Make Me Yours A Small Town Single Dad Romance (Bellamy Creek #2)

He’s my brother’s best friend. The hot single dad next door. And one accidental sext later, my massive crush on him is no longer a secret. It’s my own damn fault. I’m thirty years old, for heaven’s sake. I’m a kindergarten teacher and a (reasonably) responsible adult. I should know better than to get tipsy and draft a fake text listing all the dirty things I wish Officer Cole Mitchell would do to me. I wasn’t supposed to hit send. He wasn’t supposed to see it. And he definitely wasn’t supposed to text back telling me to go on . . . Because after that, things escalate quickly. Cole is everything I’ve ever wanted. He’s sexy and protective. A devoted father to his little girl. A dedicated cop the whole town adores. The kind of guy you can trust to keep his hands to himself, even when you’re desperately hoping he won’t. I’m not the girl he thought he’d end up with, but after all this time, I might finally get the chance to say the words I’ve always dreamed of . . . make me yours.

I am filled with emotions so much I am not sure what to say. This books was so good from beginning all the way to the end. As much as I adored Cole and Chey, Mariah has to take #1 spot as my favourite character in the book. The way she kept exposing Cole at the beginning and her love for Cheyenne was just so pure I wanted to give her the biggest hug!!!

some minor preference issues I really enjoyed this story. if I had to change anything, I prefer my characters a little more progressive… I found myself getting annoyed with how cole justified ignoring his problems, spewing on about how therapy is for girls and such. But, credit where credit is due contemporary romance has a huge issue of authors romanticizing toxic behavior or outright ignoring it as such, Melanie Harlow isn’t guilty of that here. I am a firm believer that authors of this genre should pay attention to their demographic and we are one mainly built off of young woman and authors should use the worlds and characters they create to strengthen and lift up their readers, call out warning signs of toxic behavior instead of mystifying them, and it was really refreshing to see a story where the girl recognized where her loved one’s behavior was leading them.

5 Stars ★★★★ HI BOOKLOVERS, Second Book in Bellamy Creek Series, well I never consider to read this series by Melanie but then again I never consider to read anything from her ever not until Cloverleigh Farms Series. I felt in love with the Small Town romance like crazy I don't even know to said it. But guys! This I love this, I freaking love this. You know I'm sucker for Single Dad romance but this single dad is hawt as fuck and who doesn't want him. We all obviously do. I'm really happy with the Heroin Characters but she's okay. I guess. Anyway, Highly Recommended! :) xoxo. Kath!

I loved this book so much. It had some really good concepts and some bad ones. I really liked how normally at the 3/4 mark of a book the mc fucks up or something dramatic happens and it’s grovelling or finding out and then they end up together this book still had grovelling but in a different day it showed him not fucking up but learning how to deal with his own baggage to finally be with someone and I thought that was enjoyable to read. sad but fun to read I also love the single dad trope x

THANKS GOD FOR THAT.

this was a chore to get through first of all, i hated the girl obsessed trope. the fact that she’s been in love with him her entire life and was mad when he fell in love/got married with his now dead wife didn’t sit right with me. second, the last half of this book was TORTURE to read. i understand he was dealing with mental health issues but how are you going to put your daughter in therapy and then not consider it yourself because “you’re a man”???? so dumb i wouldve dnfed but im not a quitter so

This was an adorable best friends brother story. I enjoyed that these two characters were a bit older (33 and 36). The spice was good and there were times I laughed out loud.

This story was sweet and well done! The single dad struggles with the passing of his wife, 9 years ago. He takes care of his daughter throughout, but neglects his own struggles. It causes conflict in the relationship, but is resolved in a healthy communicative way. I enjoyed this one!

This book made me blush! Not even from the spiciest of scenes but from the early banter/flirting/ lead-up. Our couple is so cute and they were very relatable to anyone who has ever crushed so hard on someone they want to scream. Better than the first book!

This was truly great, there were a couple of problems, but nothing major. Cole and Cheyenne have the cutest, steamiest, most honest relationship. It was so refreshing to see a couple with a serious conflict talk honestly and openly not only with each other, but themselves. I loved everything about this book, but I had like two or three itty bitty issues with it. First, I felt like the book should have ended at the halfway point, and was disappointed that there was going to be additional conflict. However, the conflict was a very serious mental health issue revolving around Cole's anxiety and grief over losing his first wife. This brings me to my second issue, the "I'm a manly man, and counseling is only for women and children" attitude that Cole had was so f***ing stupid, and really took me out of the story. This obviously gets resolved, but it was quite annoying. Finally, I realized that this series really does not dig into the character's professions past the surface level. I would have loved some more plot or background surrounding their professions. It just seemed like a throw-away detail the author added in. Otherwise, this story was so sweet, funny, steamy, cute, and I loved almost everything about it. I 100% recommend this book to those who love romance books, and those who are new to the genre.

I am between 3 and 3.5 with this one. I like the relationship of Mariah with our main characters(I like the single parent trope), but I didn't feel the chemestry between the couple. I feel that the author handle the topic of grief better in 'After We Fall'. Over all was an OK read, but it didn't make me feel much.
