great comfort read Griffin was probably one of my more favorite book love interest that was from a sappier book….I definitely cried when someone got a certain surprise recipe and over all the story was light and warm

how stinking cute was this book. The characters were fun and blair was such a cute mc and i loved that the recipes she made were in the end of the book. Also the universe of the other book series by Melanie Harlow that sneak in as a fun little surprise, love ittt

oops.. read it in one day, shit this was so cute

Received ARC in exchange for an honest review* Rating: 4 Stars! https://bookboyfriendsdoitbetter.com/ This is exactly the book I needed to read! I found myself getting into slumps one right after the other for the last 2 months. Then I realized it's because I've mainly been reading dark romance and need to break it up with other types of romance books. I love small-town romances and this book is no different! I adore this book! I adored Blair and Griffin so much! Blair is a bit on the naive side though, so if that's not your style, I would steer clear of this one *or* proceed with caution lol. Blair and Griffin's story is so sweet and I devoured it. I didn't have a lot of free time when I was reading it but I found myself gravitating to it during the small amount of free time I had! I'm really looking forward to the next books in the series! I loved getting to know all the side characters. The one thing I didn't like was Griffin being described as James Dean so much. But that's just me lol because I don't personally think that he is very handsome and it kept ruining my mental image of Griffin

Läste bara den här boken för att jag såg på tiktok att Griffin var fosterhem till en kattunge. Tror den kattungen nämndes tre ggr även fast hon bodde i lägenheten…

This was a low 3 stars for me unfortunately. This book was very cookie-cutter, unoriginal, vanilla to me. There wasn't anything special enough about this book to wow me. The characters and small town reminded me of Gilmore Girls, which isn't a bad thing just something I've already experienced. So you have your Lorelai character, rich girl (who loves to talk) leaving her family's money and world behind for a small town, and your Luke character, grouchy Griffin who is always helpful, but surly and in denial of his feelings for the main character. Then you have the charming town full of characters who just can't stop gossiping (like stars hollow). Additionally, the writing was very cheesy, and the steamy scenes didn't really do it for me. In fact, the "bedtime stories" seemed weird to me, and took me out of feeling the natural chemistry of the characters. Overall, it was a very basic small town contemporary romance. I recommend this book for people who might be new to the romance genre or don't mind a very basic romance. As someone experiencing a slump from fantasy romances and reverse harem romances this was definitely a palette cleanser. I will read Cole and Cheyenne's story because I was really into their storyline.

I love Melanie’s books and this one was amazing!! I waited till all the books were out to dive in and I loved the story, Griffin and Blair were wonderful and their interactions were the best. Blair wanted a new life where she could be independent and in charge of her own life so getting to Bellamy Creek was the perfect opportunity to do that. She didn’t have much, but she was really sweet so people felt very attracted to her and her personality, especially Griffin. Griffin was a mechanic that wanted to keep the family business and make his father proud, so Blair really helped him do that and loosen him up, he had a difficult relationship in the past so he liked to be alone and not depend on anyone. He felt attracted to Blair since she showed up, and helping her with her car turned out to be so much more for the both of them. They had great chemistry and everyone loved seeing them together so it was a matter of time before they realized how good it could be to be together. Also, I loved their steamy scenes, their storytelling and everything. They totally complemented each other and I loved how they got their HEA. Now I’m diving right into the next book to see what happens between Cheyenne and Cole.
