The Billionaire Wins the Game

The Billionaire Wins the Game

Joseph Anderson has decided it is time his three successful sons find brides. Joseph wants grandbabies to fill his huge mansion, and he wants them immediately. His eldest son Lucas is successful in all areas of his life except love. He has no desire to have any woman enter that life causing chaos or using his family's name. Amy Harper was raised in tragic circumstances and does not like pampered, rich men who have been handed everything with a silver spoon. She spent years finishing her education and was blessed to get a job with the famous Andersons Corporation. Amy and Lucas will fight their attraction to each other, but find that they cannot resist the sparks that fly. They take a journey together learning to challenge, trust and ultimately..... love. When Amy becomes pregnant after a night of passion with her boss, she is scared he will take the baby and run, but with the love of Lucas's family, who are not only rich and successful, but also kind and giving, she starts to realize that being rich does not make or break a man, and starts to picture the happily ever after she never believed in for herself.

This is a great love story going through different meaning and how they hate each other then love each other. But it's all because of Joseph Anderson is Billionaire who has three sons. His eldest son has taken over the business in which Joseph has retired from, but what his eldest son doesn't know is that his dad is looking to get him a wife. Lucas the eldest son, didn't like his dad going behind his back to find a new sectary but when they first meet each other Amy thought he was going looking and keeps saying she can't get involved with her boss to find the fireworks only go off around him. He never want a partner or a wife until he can't fig out why he is drawn to Amy until they one night things lead to another. It's a great ending and it leaves Joseph wanting to get his second a wife. All Joseph wants is to have loads of grandchildren to spoil. I find Bachelors series gripping and is tied into this series too. Plus I am gripped so I will be saving up to get the rest of this series.

What I liked about The Billionaire Wins the Game: 1. Amy’s character. She came from horrible circumstances and rose above it. She had an inner strength that I don’t see in 90% of people in real life. And that’s sad when I compare a fictional character to real life and real life comes up lacking. 2. Lucas’s character: Again, another strong character and man did he fight falling in love. I loved reading the scenes with Amy and Lucas together because the sparks came right off the page. The sexual tension (and when they had sex) was great!!! A must have in a romance novel. 3. The backstories. They were introduced in such a way that you couldn’t help but like them and you want to know more about them. What I didn’t like about The Billionaire Wins the Game: 1. As much as I loved Amy’s character, her extreme stubbornness got to me. There were some points in the book where I wanted to reach through and bitch slap here. Example: When Lucas forced Amy into his car to give her a ride home and she gave him the wrong address. Which wouldn’t have been bad but she lived in the ghetto and it was the middle of the night. 2. The whole “I got you pregnant so I have to marry you because I don’t want the child born out of wedlock and be a bastard” bit. It’s not Victorian England and not being married and having kids are the norm right now. A forced wedding (and when I mean forced, Lucas implied that he would take the baby from Amy) is not cool. **I voluntarily reviewed this book** Blog Link: https://readwithme2018.com/2014/11/02...
