This book was pretty mediocre. I enjoyed the world, particularly the elves, but so much of this book was world building that it got to be a bit much. It goes to the extent of telling about the design of floor tiles and the types of building materials....it just got a bit boring. Not much happens as far as plot goes, it was pretty obvious that it is a first in a series. Almost the entire thing was building the world and characters for the next book which wouldn't have been such a problem if it hadn't gone on for over 700 pages...I don't think I will be continuing with the series.
