It’s absolutely wonderful seeing a book that you absolutely love come to life. This graphic novel is great I can’t wait to read volume three.

I’m really not sure how to rate this since it’s a graphic novel but I can honestly say this just makes me love Carter Cross even more. The ability to visually see a story I’ve already devoured, LOVED, and visualized myself is just awesome. I read this so quickly and just like the book, I needed more the second I finished. It was really easy to read and understand what’s going on. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the book will look like.

Erotic Dark Mafia Romance.

Carter had me falling for him by Chapter 5. Had a captive theme as went with the plot. Ari and Carter had some push and pull and never knew what would happen with them next. The Mafia business is good and well spaced out in story. After that ending need to know where this story is going. 4/5 Loved It.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from the first book. I saw it all over Tik Tok and eventually decided to buy the series and I got through the first book super quickly (it’s not that long) 

I’m very interested in seeing how this series turns out but I will say this book specifically didn’t really hit the mark for me unfortunately 

I was not the biggest fan of the ending because it was a cliff hanger, but felt like an unnecessary one. The spice was okay (like 🌶1.5) but most of the time it was fade to black which definitely isn’t my favorite. 

I am going to continue the series (since I bought it all) but I just don’t have my hopes too high about it

I couldn't get past the weird issues with the first person tense, the many grammatical errors, and the bizarre paragraph structure. I'm all for dark romance - I read it because it's toxic and problematic - but when I'm editing the book while reading it, it really pulls me from the story.

This was my first Willow Winters read, and I had high hopes for this book. Let me tell you, it delivered. There was angst, action, sweetness and filth. Oh yes. Winning combo. 

I would have liked the book to have more of an emotional impact on me, but the plot line was extremely intriguing and made up for it. Yes, this follows the captive/captor trope, but when done exceedingly well like Winters, it reads without the nagging part of your brain yelling “cliché” or “déjà-vu” at every turn of the page.

I like how some things from the very beginning are still not resolved leading us into book two. Yes some additional problems have arisen and some have been resolved, but the most intriguing one for us - or me as a reader - is yet to be concluded. 

I liked how Winters gave Aria art as an escape, and I loved reading about her drawing with the charcoals and getting her hands dirty. All the tangible things I love about art were there. Charcoal art isn’t clean; just like this love story it’s messy, dark, edgy, captivating, and beautiful.
