I'm kinda disappointed bc I was excited for Teddy's book. I feel like it was alright because the story/relationship wasn't well-developed and it felt rushed. The dialogue could've been better. There were parts that felt v repetitive especially some internal monologues. Like I remember Vanessa literally said I'll stop bringing it up about an issue...*keeps bringing it up* and I was over it after the 6th time reading the same paragraph but remixed. I still love teddyvanessa but I wish there was MORE OF THEM! I enjoyed how lovesick Teddy got over Vanessa <3

It was nice seeing the other characters/couples from the previous books but I wish they were more involved. In the other books, the side characters were integral to the plot/ relationship progression, but in this book, the characters just felt they were there for the sake of being there. For instance, Teddy would go running with Mascen where they wouldn't really talk and nothing would happen. soo that was kinda useless. It was nice seeing more of Mascen tho. I loved when Teddy, Mascen, and Jude went to go beat up Tristen. like wow fun boyz night. I wish we could've seen like a little double-date moment with Teddy and Vanessa & Cole and Zoey (missed opportunity). I wish Vanessa was brought into the girl group like how Zoey was invited to their movie nights. Teddy kept saying the friend group was like family but I didn't see much of that concerning Vanessa which sucks bc Vanessa didn't really have anyone else (besides her roommate).

What caught my attention and made we want to read the story was the fact that the heroine was described as plus-sized in one of the blurbs I read on a Facebook ad. The fact that Vanessa didn’t spend every second worrying about her weight was good. Yes, she had her usual moments of worry or discomfort, but so do most people.

The last thing Teddy expected to do was fall in love with his fake girlfriend, but fall he did and hard, too. Vanessa took a bit longer to fall in love, but she finally let down her own guard and allowed it to happen.

The humor and banter between Teddy and Vanessa left me laughing on more then one occasion and had me marking phrases of banter as I went along.

Teddy’s father was a giant asshole who needed to be taken down more then a few pegs. Abusive and manipulative, he has to keep everyone under his thumb.

As much as I loved the story I feel like there were a few scenes that could have been removed without ruining the story, especially all the “lovely” family “bonding” moments.

This was my first book by Micalea Smeltzer and now i need to go back and read the first two books in the series. I’m hoping Jude will have a book of his own at some point as well.

Finally read Teddy's book and to be honest it didn't disappoint!! I was sooo excited to read this book and I adored every single moment! Vanessa is my meow meow and I will always protect her no matter what, I love her so much! I kinda see myself in her and I related to her a little bit! Teddy is a golden retriever boy who deep down just wants to be loved the way he loves and cares for those who matters the most to him! Their banter starts off so strong and I think I've been in love with them ever since page one!!
I wasn't the biggest fan of the first book, and I end up really liking the second one but Teddy and Vanessa just stole my heart!! Loved how they were from different worlds but they connected right away without them eve realizing it! I didn't enjoyed their fall out because of course his father had anything to do with it and it kinda reminded me a little bit of The Deal but I end up really loving them and their story and their development and their growth so I don't care, until now they're my favorite couple of the series!! 
Now I am intrigued to read Jude's book and also excited for Cree's book, that was actually the book that "introduced" me to this series but I like reading it by order even though it's not really necessary!
Okay Teddy and Vanessa totally worth it, kinda opposites attract with fake dating!! Loved it!!

Playboy Teddy, or maybe not…. Teddy has always intrigued me in The Boys books. I knew he had to be hiding something behind that smile of a mask and Micalea did not disappoint. He maybe a playboy but he is also sweet, tenderhearted, playful & overall just a huge teddy bear. The way he could go from serious to witty to sweet could have my heart spinning.

And sweet sweet Van, who was so broken from her past but never let Teddys dad walk all over her. She is everything I needed in a female character, funny, strong, graceful without even realizing she is all of those things because sometimes we need an amazing man to show us how strong we are. That is exactly what Teddy was for her.

I enjoyed all the involvement of the past characters in this story also. I feel as if that always adds a strong quality to these books because it shows you how far these couples have come and it uses the previous story lines to add something important to this book as well. 

Fake dating books can sometimes be hard to read because they always seem to follow the same storyline but Micalea blew this one out of the water. I hadn’t read one like this so far. It is also a slow burn with a lot of build up. They build a strong friendship through their fake dating then they were able to build it into so much more.
