My daughter loves to watch all the old songs from the early days of Sesame Street, so imagine my surprise when I read about "David" and his fall from grace, and subsequent death. The article referenced Street Gang, so naturally I had to read it. The beginning was slow in introducing all the major behind-the-scene players and how the idea, then the show, came to be. Once the human characters began being cast the book really picked up for me. Unfortunately that was the last couple of chapters. Hearing how they all came to be was very interesting to me. And then hearing the story of how Barney affected them, and how Zoe and Abby Cadabby came to be, were great to hear. For anyone who loved the Street growing up, and/or loves it again with a new generation - this book is for you! This review was brought to you by the letter R (for review!) and the number 4 (stars!)
