Back Home
Back Home is David Wood's second adaptation of a celebrated Michelle Magorian novel. After five happy years, evacuee Rusty returns to England from America. Her mother is a stranger, her little brother doesn't know her, her grandmother criticises her accent and attitudes, and the strict girls' boarding school to which she is sent is quite unlike her American progressive co-ed. She rebels, and her feisty determination sees her win through, but not before her family becomes a casualty of the effects of the war.
