Book two. So far I like this best. Higher stakes. Like some of the new characters and the development. Appreciate anything that makes me question if I should be rooting for worms against humanity. Like the structure of this book too as it is slightly different, and doesn’t rely on a twist or reveal that was obvious to everyone but one charachter for most of the book. It’s weird for a middle book to be stronger but I think this one is, it needed the setup of book one to get to the better part of the story imo

I have to wait A YEAR?!?!?! I might not survive! ************************************************************ Finished! Possible review to come.

Novel seems to follow the same structure as the first in the series. Chapter are introduced with a brief passage or journal entry or some type of recording, etc that still pertains to the overall story. We pick right back up with Sal, briefly recapping the very end and shocking twist we received in book 1 and as she starts to come to terms with her revelation. I have to say, Sal and Nathan's love for their plants and their dogs is honestly the sweetest. We find out what happened to Tansy when we left her in the first book and I am filled with tension at what will happen to her. I really like her character as well as tension and worry for Sal as she also finds herself captive to some degree. Mira Grant had a way of writing characters that the reader truly cares about. I find myself grieving for some and ecstatic for others and just pure shock at what has taken place.

It was like a strange and potentially fatal math problem: if yelling at the onrishing cannibal zombies makes them stop moving, but it only works for X percent, how many times will you need to yell before safety is assured? Show your work, and don't get eaten.

I bucked and writhed until every bruise I had was singing like Adam in the shower: loudly, discordantly, and without a bit of concern for I felt about it.
