Decent story, two hot guys and a plus sized girl.

When you write a long, thoughtful review and then goodreads glitches and doesn't post it :) :) :) :) :) Basically, this book was great! Fun and sexy, with some more serious moments thrown in that didn't throw off the tone of the entire books. Some of the characters dealt with some heavy stuff, and they worked through their problems together. This book has a polyamorous relationship, which I was so excited to see because it's so underrepresented. I have never read a book with a poly relationship before, and I would like to find more because I really enjoyed that element in this book! I definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick, fun read!

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. My love for Sierra Simone and her books grows with each and every new release. I've come to look at the Misadventures series like a quick and dirty treat, but Misadventures of a Curvy Girl was so much more than that. SO MUCH MORE. I mean, yes, it was totally filthy — in the best way — but it was also so freaking sweet. Also? The body positivity message spoke to my soul. This plus sized lady is here for the curvier heroines. Especially when there's no storyline about how she needs to "fix" herself to be worthy of love and other good things. But, I won't get on that particular soapbox in my review. Moving on... It would be really easy to make my review for Misadventures of a Curvy Girl very personal, but I won't. Instead I'll just say Ireland is relatable. Even if we don't share the same experiences when it comes to hot AF men in Kansas. (Maybe I should spend more time in Kansas...) 😂 Kidding. Kind of. I adored the romance between Ireland, Caleb and Ben. Yes, it was insta-love-y but who cares? Attraction is real. I loved the connection these three shared and I enjoyed seeing how each of them somehow became MORE together. Yes, this book is likely to make you (or your reading device) overheat. It's smoking hot. I'd expect nothing less from Sierra. But, I guarantee you're probably going to get a fair few feels along the way, too. I sure did. Sierra's writing is gorgeous. This woman just has a way with words. I swear, she probably makes her shopping list read like poetry. (For the record, I'd read that if she published it, too.) Whenever I read one of her books, I find myself highlighting roughly 1/3 of it. Her words are just THAT GOOD. So many of them spoke to me in Misadventures of a Curvy Girl, too. (Believe it or not, the quotes below aren't even close to everything I highlighted. I just couldn't include ALL of them.) I know I just finished this book, but I'm totally ready for Sierra's next book. Like, right now. I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Favorite Quotes: I want to wear the clothes I want to wear, not the ones I'm supposed to. I want to spend my nights doing what I choose, not going to the gym and then listening to Brian's pointed remarks about my body while I pick at my frozen diet entree and stare miserably at the table. I want to live now, have fun and do fun things now, not wait for some distant, skinnier future that may never come. I look good. Fuck anyone who says differently. I'm a simple man. I like big girls, Kansas sunrises, and my dog, Greta. I like sharing those things with my best friend. Girls like me, we didn't get chased, we didn't get claimed, we didn't get the happily ever after. Not in movies. Not in real life. People aren't just one thing. People aren't just confident and then that's it, there's nothing that can dent that confidence. People aren't just brave and then free from fear their entire lives. We exist in tangles of virtue and weakness simultaneously—we are the best and worst of ourselves all at the same time. "Do you think fat means bad?" "I mean, I—" "It's just a word, princess. A word like tall or short or Nebraskan. It's an adjective that doesn't have to mean anything negative. The world thinks that fat is the worst thing a woman can be, but the more we use the word like a neutral description, the more we say fuck you to that idea."

Hot, fun, and sweet. Sierra Simone is such a good writer.
