I'll be honest... I didn't follow this one very well at all. Scenes seemed to jump around and I just couldn't catch up. I imagine it had something to do with Cass, but I couldn't puzzle it together. Chat is still a favorite, even if I needed more of him in this volume lol, and the art is still just as charming. And, as of this volume, I just can't root for Julie and Selena

idk but selena and julie's relationship just felt abusive, and paired with a clunky plot and all those advice columns, it didn't do justice. 2 stars for chet and the diversity

I am extremely disappointed with this series. After really enjoying the first one I thought I’d enjoy this even more, but I was wrong. I can’t even tell you the storyline of this as it was so confusing and convoluted. I believe fairies were involved and that’s about it. Things I liked: - The art style is still one of my favourites. It’s so pastel and adorable and just the right amount of detail without complicating the scene. - The representation. There are multiple people of colour as well as many lgbtq+ relationships and Chet who uses they/them pronouns. Things I didn’t like: - How many plot threads there were. There are fairy circles and fights and girlfriends fighting and more. Too many things for you to try and care about that you actually end up not caring about anything. - The extra pages in between the main plot. There’s this Pleasant Mountain story and an advice column in between scenes and for the little amount of pages in this volume, it’s completely unnecessary. - The characters did not make sense. After a really intense scene the characters would be talking about a game they were playing or something, almost like they forgot their friends were trapped in a fairy circle. - Considering there are so many plot points, there’s no plot. Random plot points are just dropped in there randomly and are never picked up again, very strange. All in all, highly disappointing comic with a cute style, but confusing ‘plot’.

This was cute, but I liked the first volume a lot more.
