Remains a stone-cold classic that is sheer, unadulterated genius. One of the exemplars of the genre.

just realised i watched a mlp episode based on this book 😭

The book that made me start reading Agatha Christie!! If ever you're hesitating on whether to read this or not, JUST GO READ IT ALREADY. I swear you will not regret it and your time will be well-spent.
I was too busy singling out who the killer was that the ending left me completely gagged. The build up of the suspense and reveal was oh-so satisfying.

this book was so so so great!!

it’s sooooo good this is one of the best mysteries and now I’m going to have to read all of her books

this was sooooo good OHMYGOD!!!!!!!!!!! i agree despite the weather being perfect for this, it was not a good choice for me to read this while in a slump but. everything abt it got me...... it rly did..... poirot and blanc are my happy pills i am so happy these silly lil detectives exist

Seldom (almost never) do I read mystery books, but the boredom of quarantine has lead me to pick myself up from a book slump and to read something. ANYTHING. Having watched the movie adaptation of this book before reading it, I was utterly surprised at the difference between both versions of the story. In fact, the movie (which seemed interesting at first watch) now looks incredibly awful and an insult to Christie's work. The book, as it is most of the time, was MUCH better than the movie, and i highly recommend the read.

Yet to be written

My first Agatha Christie novel and happy to say I was not disappointed! Clever plot, great cast of characters, and several good twists that kept me on my toes. The ending was also so satisfying. Loved it.

i loved the book but i’m not sure how i feel about that ending just yet

4.5 ⭐️

agatha christie is the crime goddess, no one can convince me otherwise

took me a while to finish but I LOVED it

bizarre ending but she's a classic

It was a roller coaster ride, damnnnn. I love the ending . As usual Agatha Christie, shows her magic in solving the crime. This was my first Agatha Christie.

I should have seen it coming.

es una obra de arte, una fucking obra de arte. estoy muda, es, dios. leanlo.

I have been wanting to read books by Agatha Christie for years, yet whenever I made it to a bookstore I would get lost in the aisles and forget about my desires. Luckily for me, Kennett Branagh decided to remake Murder on the Orient Express. The movie was fantastic and everything I wanted it to be, which gave me perfect reason to find the book and give it a shot! And it was INCREDIBLE. I'm amazed by how talented Agatha Christie was. The pure talent for writing shown in this book is so shocking, and it makes me desperate to read every other book she has written. Hopefully, I'll be able to find them in my adventures! This book is the 10th novel in the series, but it is very easy to pick up and start reading. I had no issue being pulled into the story and not wanting to put the book down. The language is a bit old fashioned (since it's an older book) so there may be a disconnect for some present readers, but that seemed to be the only issue I could find when I picked this book apart. In short, the plot for this book is there is a murder on the Orient Express train and Hercule Poirot (a wildly famous detective) is determined to solve it. The twist? Multiple suspects aboard a stalled train. The book is fun, fast paced and wildly addicting. If you love a good mystery, trying to solve this story is absolutely delightful! Everyone has an alibi and Poirot can only find out information by asking questions and looking at their reactions (because...GASP!...there's no electronic devices in the time period this book is set in). I knew the ending already from watching the movie, but trying to pick out the evidence that led to Hercule's final thoughts was so much fun! I scrambled along the way and enjoyed every second of this book. Overall, this book is a great read! If you want to read a classic, a mystery or just a fun book I really suggest this one! It'll keep you hooked and make your head spin in circles. Five out of five stars!

My second book written by Agatha Christie, Murder on the Orient Express, was a lovely read! Slow to begin with and an incredibly complicated murder with everybody having a strong alibi the ending was a surprise! This was also my first Hercule Poirot book and as a character, he is very likable. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Agatha Christie. Which book by her should I read next?

Ok look, I have already seen a movie adaptation (the one by Kenneth Branagh) so I knew the reveal at the end already. I think I would have enjoyed it more, had I not already known the conclusion. That being said, this book was quite enjoyable and I think I might pick up more books in the Hercule Poirot series in the future!

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Having seen the movie I thought that would ruin it for me but I still enjoyed this. I wish I'd read it first so the reveals would have been more shocking.
Honestly brilliant read and a great twist

Dear Agatha Christie, How are you so ingenious? How do you come up with these impossible cases and amazingly brilliant solutions? How did you know that a French guy with an awesome mustache and an equally awesome brain would be the perfect detective? Dear Hercule Poirot, I think your pretty famous. Especially since you're one of Agatha Christie's characters. Sometimes, I wish I had a brain like yours. Correction: I always wish that I had a brain like yours. Dear Special Person Who Is Reading My Review, This is my most recent Agatha Christie read, and she never fails to disappoint. All of her books, by far, deserve five stars. From everybody. Hands down. Her plots are flawless, there is no way she could have changed anything to make it better. Agatha Christie all the way! But when I give it four stars, it's only because of my personal opinion, my style. When I read her books, the first couple of chapters always take a little getting-used-to. Her fancy words. Her professional, classic writing style. Her long sentences and amazing detail. Of course, she is amazing! So read, read, read her books! I constantly wish that she were still alive so that there would be even more amazing mysteries to read. She's the master.
