Midnight Robber

A particularly hard but endlessly fascinating book to read. Nalo Hopkinson, a Caribbean born writer has created a world based fully on these roots and the results are both familiar and alien. The book deals with themes such as sexual abuse, guilt, cultural differences and leaves you both wanting it to end and never wanting to leave. I would like a book exploring more thoroughly the more technologically advanced of Granny Nanny, exploring that society. Highly recommended.
