What did I just read? Listen if I ignore the fact that I hate the main character, it wasn’t a terrible book. I mean it wasn’t that good but the ending was at least surprising mostly because it doesn’t make complete sense to me. Plus the killers were two side characters that only showed up a few times and they only interacted once together. I hate Penny. I need another chapter. You can’t leave your book on a cliffhanger. What happens next? I have so many questions. What happens with Jackson? Is Addie dead or was she playing dead like they talked about?

That’s how that ends? Are you freaking kidding me?! What the hell happens?!!! Ugh first of all there’s no paranormal activity so where is the haunting? Lol secondly the book was so good. I love the edge of my seat feeling I had the entire time and trying to guess who the killer was. The plot twist at the end too. For this being the first book I’ve read by her it wasn’t bad. I loved it and can’t wait to read more from her. She’s amazing! Im just mad there’s no ghosts lol

PERFECT book for Spooky Season, I’m so glad I read it during the start of my favorite time of year! I’ve read quite a few Natasha Preston books over the years and enjoyed most of them but this one has slasher ‘Scream’ vibes, which is very different then her usual thrillers, and I am HERE for it!

Scream and Halloween are two of my favorite things and the fact that this book had the whole, running around in a creepy mask and going on a murder spree vibe, it was just perfection (for fiction lol). Especially since it all takes place during the week leading up to Halloween!

Also there were definitely some red herrings and plot twists which were so much fun. I truly didn’t guess the ending 😱. But can we talk about how Preston always leaves us on a cliffhanger with no closure?!  I saw it coming but still leaves me gasping every time.
