Turmoil and Tranquillity The Sea Through the Eyes of Dutch and Flemish Masters, 1550-1700

An oft-overlooked period of art is revisited in this official catalog of The Golden Age, the upcoming 17th-century Dutch- and Flemish-seascapes exhibition scheduled for fall 2008 at the National Maritime Museum in London. As an important adjunct to the exhibition, the catalog reproduces more than 100 of the paintings on display, many of which have not been previously available in print.
