Le silence de la mémoire

Le silence de la mémoire à la recherche des juifs de Płock

Ch. 1 (pp. 13-34) traces the history of the Jews in Płock (Poland) from their settlement in the town, probably in the 13th century, to the Holocaust period. Discusses relations between Poles and Jews, mentioning antisemitism, particularly between the two World Wars. The rest of the book consists of the stories of a number of Jews from Płock (among them Holocaust survivors) now living in the USA, Israel, France, and other countries, who were interviewed by the author about their experiences during the Holocaust.
