From the author of Strangers on a Train, Patricia Highsmith has another interesting thriller with twist and turns. Carter is wrongly accused, tried and sentenced to prison for a crime he did not commit. In prison, he learns some strategies so that he can stay alive to one day see his wife and son. Once out, he has to win his family back, reacclimate to society and try not to have those prison habits raise their ugly heads. It’s hard to do when he gets caught up in a Murder plot. Murder, mystery and intrigue.
