WHEWWWW this book. This is book 4/5 and picks up right where 3 left off--with Rogue attempting to save the boys by running back to fucking Shawn. She realizes of course that this was a poor choice of action, and finds her way back to her boys fairly quickly (thank god, there's only so much of fucking Shawn I can take).

I think it's important to remember that this is book four and Rogue and her guys still have a lot of unresolved baggage and trauma to work through--and a good portion of this book is them working through it, bit by bit. That is of course interspersed with some fantastically written spicy scenes, and the gals really took it to the next level with this one. We got knife play, we got bondage, we got sword crossing, we got breath play, we got ass eating, and we got DP. Literally what more could you want from a reverse harem romance.

In case anyone was wondering about my ranking, here goes: Maverick and Chase are tied for first place, followed by JJ, and lastly, Fox. Maybe when the man figures out how to pull his head out of his ass, he can move up the list. 

If you're wondering if this ends on a cliffhanger, maybe instead ask yourself, "Have I ever read a mid-series Caroline & Susanne book that DIDN'T?" Of course there's a cliffhanger. And yes, I am in pain.
