Jodi Picoult2009
THE INTERNATIONALLY BESTSELLING AUTHOR 'It is impossible not to be held spellbound by the way she forces us to think, hard, about right and wrong.' Washington Post Katie Fisher is Amish. For eighteen years, she has grown up in a community set apart from the modern world by lifestyle and belief. It is a community fiercely protective of its way of life. To turn your back on it is to lose everything - your church, your home, and your family. So in the middle of the night when the baby comes, Katie does the only thing she knows how to do in times of stress: she prays. Exhausted, she falls asleep. When she wakes, the child is gone. Her prayer has been answered. But faith alone cannot help when the baby's body is found. Jodi's brand new novel, A SPARK OF LIGHT is publishing soon and is now available to pre-order!

Many of Jodi's books have the same details, amnesia, the love story, same names even. While this book was very predictable, I didn't hate it. I love the time that Jodi spends researching her subject, it really comes through in her writing.

This one for me was a 5 star. Jodi Picoult is a master writer that all I can say. So much stuff was going and I was not sure where was she going with it all, but at the end all of it came together. The ending was beyong shocking for me. I had one idea how the book was going to end, and she totally twisted it and ended totally different then what I thought. I think that this book would be a good to go in blind on and not try to get spoilers on....for that ending alone. Another thing I liked about this book was that I got a greater understanding of the Amish community. I admit I was annoyed by Katie's parents at the beginning of this book, but as you read you get a better perspect of why they do the things they do. I highly recommend this.
