Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. So, I absolutely love sports romance and the friends to lovers trope — which I don't think any of you will find surprising. Also unsurprising? I flipping loved Played. Ty was so darn swoony and amazing. Ara was a strong, smart heroine who I'd totally be friends with. I was here for every bit of the slow burn, the "will they or won't they", and the "how will this affect their friendship?". I basically inhaled this book and have zero regrets. It was sexy and sweet and had all the feels I like in my reading.  I've read a lot of new adult romance and I just keep coming back to this series. I love the world and the characters in it and I appreciate that with each new couple, we also get to see cameos from some of our favorites as well. Jen could keep writing the Gridiron series forever and I'd eagerly devour each and every book she published. If you're not reading it, you're absolutely missing out and you should do something about that ASAP.  FAVORITE QUOTES "Fuck the friendship seal." This isn't sex. This is communion.
